Happy Halloween! Have you dressed your house to the nines in jack-o'-lanterns, orange lights, and scary ghouls this year? What's your Halloween decorating style when it comes to your home?

Whether you've been planning your costume or party for months, or are stuck for last-minute ideas, you should definitely get out there and celebrate tonight! At my house, we'll be waiting on trick-or-treaters (or trying to) and then heading to a friend's party in San Francisco for the evening. I still haven't decided on a costume, but I'm sure I can whip something up at the last minute.

Event planner Peacock Feathers created this very over-the-top dinner table décor for a Halloween party. Not only does the pink and purple palette strike me as unusual, but it also seems uncommon to host a formal dinner party for Halloween. I do think any occasion to host a party is a good one, but I've never been to a Halloween dinner party.

This past weekend, I asked readers to share their stories of haunted houses that they've heard of or lived in themselves. Some of the stories gave me a chill up my spine, while others told of more benevolent spirits. Hear readers' ghost stories when you check out the slideshow.

Looking for a jack-o-lantern that even your glammest girlfriend would covet? Then check out jeweler Eddie Borgo's amazing dark and bejeweled pumpkin. This pumpkin was originally created as a housewarming gift for designer Victor Glemaud, but I think it would look amazing at any style-forward Halloween to-do this weekend.

Don't get me wrong, I love a good spooky home at Halloween. But really making your home a frightful sight can be a big chore. You can still be festive for the holiday without introducing any chopped-off fingers or zombie heads into your décor.

Are you ready to see more haunted houses? If my slideshow on California haunted houses wasn't spooky enough, I've just got the thing. New Orleans is perhaps America's most haunted city, so it's no surprise the place is full of ghosts and floating entities.

Strolling through downtown San Francisco, I came across this window display of a men's clothing store. To decorate for Halloween, the shop has covered the faces of their mannequins with googly eyes. I can't decide if I find these decorations spooky or just weird.
