Finnish textile designer Marimekko has plenty of iconic prints that, if you read my post on how to Marimekko your whole house, you'll know have been used everywhere from wallpaper to bedding to upholstery to handbags. Unfortunately, even a good thing can get old. So, I'm pleased to share Marimekko's Fall 2009 Fabric Collection with you, which will hopefully freshen things up.

From now through July 15, save big on some of your favorite Marimekko designs. I'd make haste, though: sale prices are limited to supply on hand, which is quite limited! I'm very tempted by this Marimekko Kissanminttu Fabric (on sale for $31.50).

Finnish textile designer Marimekko was made famous when Jackie Kennedy bought eight Marimekko dresses, which she wore throughout the 1960 US presidential campaign. Soon, in the mid-'60s, the company sparked up a relationship with Crate & Barrel, using their designs on textiles like bedding in their stores as well as display backdrops.Nowadays, Mari's brightly colored graphics have made their way onto every furnishing in the house — a new line of wallpaper being the latest.
Bemz, the one and only retailer of chic slipcovers for Ikea furniture, also recently debuted a collection of Marimekko slipcovers.

I've had my eye on this brilliantly printed Ditte Sofa ( on sale for $1,799.95, was $3,498) for many moons now. The adorable fabric design is by way of Marimekko, and the Teflon-coated canvas will help to ensure that any coffee stains or unfortunate wine accidents will wash right out. With a kiln-dried hardwood frame and a polyfill-down blend stuffing, this sofa will be both wildly attractive and wonderfully sturdy.

Always Mod, a retailer that specializes in selling products from world-renowned Finnish textile and design company, Marimekko, is currently holding their "biggest Marimekko sale ever," offering savings of 20 to 40 percent off of Marimekko items now through July 15th, while supplies last. If you're unfamiliar with Marimekko's bold designs, you can see some of them here. Here are a few products I wouldn't mind taking home from the sale:

We all know that Marimekko is too darn hot right now. It's made appearances in the Sex and the City movie (in Carrie's apartment), at H&M stores worldwide, and in major retail catalogs such as CB2. I'm personally loving the color and pattern on this Marimekko Red on Red Pillow ($19), from Etsy seller WhiffletreeFarm.

If you've yet to tire of its print, you can welcome the Marimekko Unikko Tray ($29, reduced from $42) into your home for a Spring garden party, or even just breakfast in bed. I'm envisioning it serving up some fresh lemonade and cucumber sandwiches, perhaps? It would also make an eye-catching catch-all for your foyer landing strip/console, if you have one, or a perky inbox for your organized desk.

According to FabSugar, Finnish textile design company Marimekko will be "lending its signature vivid prints and colors to H&M's Spring '08 collection," and I hear even Manolo Blahnik is taking a cue from Marimekko's bold patterns. Also, Anthropologie has created its own crave worthy upholstered furniture with the textiles. Since the textile industry is often responsible for trends in both the home décor and fashion worlds, I suspect you'll soon be longing for some Marimekko in your life.

Though this Kassiopeia Fabric comes from Finnish brand Marimekko, it has a sort of Asian-inspired fantasy vibe. Together with the cool-yet-fiery color combo, the pattern is very unique. How could you use these ideas in a room?
