There's a Capybara in Blackpink's "Ice Cream" Video, and Hello, New Best Friend

Blackpink and Selena Gomez's "Ice Cream" music video features lots of things: pastels, ping-pong, Puma, and a furry, pig-like creature known as a capybara. If you have never come across a capybara and kind of, sort of, want to take one home, it's time for a little lesson!

Capybaras are actually giant rodents, similar in genetic makeup to guinea pigs. With a lifespan of around 10 years, capybaras live in herds and can grow up to 143 pounds! These guys are sometimes referred to as "water pigs" because they spend about as much time in the water as they do on land. Their webbed feet help them navigate through rivers and lakes, chomping through plants and using the water to hide from predators. Unless you live in Central or South America, you've probably never come across a capybara in the wild. You can, however, see a family of the long-toothed creatures at the San Diego Zoo! Until your next visit, take a look at the capybara from the music video, along with some more pictures of the naturally well-groomed animals.
