So I guess someone (ahem, the United States Postal Service) was reading my tweets last week when I complained about the complicated post office experience. OK, so maybe they were already trying to simplify the entire shipping process before my rant, but whatever the case, I'm just glad they whipped up this handy online tool! Now if you want to figure out what size of shipping box you need for a parcel or package, you can use the USPS Virtual Box Simulator!

Back in January, I wrote that the United States Postal Service would release Charles and Ray Eames stamps featuring the Eames Wire-Base Table, the Hang-It-All, the Lounge Chair and Ottoman, the House of Cards, the Molded Plywood Lounge Chair, the Aluminum Side Chair, the Molded Plastic Side Chair, the Storage Unit, the Wire Chair, and the La Chaise. Well, the time has come folks. You can pick up your own pane of 16, self-adhesive 42–cent Charles and Ray Eames stamps ($6.72) at your local post office.

Poor snail mail. Since the advent of email, the free and convenient alternative, the amount of paper mail has obviously declined — and it's only getting worse for the postal service.
The Washington Post reports that the USPS is being forced to remove collection boxes around the country.

Mailboxes wait in limbo, or outside a San Francisco mail sort center, until their fate is determined. The US Postal Service showed up on the floor of Congress Wednesday, mailbags open for bailout change. Cutting service and charging for secure(r) email seem increasingly likely since May's ¢2 stamp hike (from ¢42 to ¢44) won't be enough to stop USPS from going bankrupt by the year's end.

As Lucy could tell you, red is the rarest, and perhaps most coveted, hair color (so much so that Ms. Ball dyed her naturally blond hair her now iconic shade of carrot). And for thousands of years, people have been coming up with stories about it.

Dear Fit,
I never eat fish, so I worry about getting enough omega-3s. Before I start taking supplements, I wanted to know which is the better choice, flaxseed oil or fish oil capsules?
—Unsure About Omegas

Highlights
Cancer
Growing evidence suggests that vitamins and micronutrients, especially from foods, may play important roles in the prevention or treatment of certain cancers:
- One study found that the risk of prostate cancer risk dropped as consumption of vegetables high in vitamin C, such as broccoli and bell peppers, rose.
- A diet high in cruciferous vegetables has been found to reduce the risk of kidney cancer; low consumption of cruciferous vegetables increases the risk.
On the other hand, high amounts of folic acid (a B vitamin) may be associated with colorectal cancer, and beta-carotene supplements are associated with increased lung cancer risk in smokers and people exposed to asbestos.
Macular Degeneration
In 2007, the National Eye Institute recommended that people with intermediate or advanced macular degeneration in one eye take a vitamin formula shown to reduce the risk of macular degeneration in the other eye by 25%. The formula contains vitamin C, vitamin E, beta-carotene, and zinc.

Eating fish is a great way to get your fill of essential omega-3 fatty acids. This healthy fat can help fight obesity, improve your mood, prevent chronic aches and pains, and keep your heart healthy. If you're not a fan of preparing or eating fish, then you may opt for the convenience of fish oil capsules instead.
