While I'm a fan of the vino, I hate to see the beautiful bottles that my favorite wine comes in end up in the recycling bin. Luckily there are many ways you can upcycle these bottles for use around your home and garden.

On a recent trip to New York, Danny Seo stopped by an Anthropologie store to admire this chandelier. He concluded that it's worth every penny of its $1,100 price tag, since it's handmade with wire attached to this upcycled material. While it's not a natural material per se, you will find it in a natural environment.

Two years ago, artists Laurel Roth and Andy Diaz Hope collaborated on the chandelier project "Trinity," which is currently being exhibited in the Second Lives exhibit at the Museum of Art and Design in New York City.

While I love to have birds around my home, and put out bird feeders to encourage them, I don't want them in my vegetable garden. This is especially true in the Spring, when birds might scratch up newly planted seeds. So, how to keep them out of your garden patch?

Spring breezes, combined with Spring cleaning, are perfect excuses for abandoning your dryer for a clothesline, don't you think? The windy weather provides quick drying, and clearing out closets while Spring cleaning has probably yielded an old dress and a few wire hangers. Don't toss or donate them quite yet.

While I've featured Alabama Chanin before, the design company's site has beautiful new interior pictures that I thought were worth reflecting upon. Alabama Chanin, the collection of designer Natalie Chanin, features clothing and interior decor pieces that strive to be as environmentally sensitive as possible. Organic cotton, natural indigo dyes, and US-made products are all part of the line.
