When we're talking fine china and silver, we don't all have the luxury of having complete matching sets of dinner and serving pieces. Luckily, mixed sets can still look just as chic. Whether it's a tea set, antique silverware, or a mismatched set of dinner plates, there are a few things you can do to make building a mismatched set look purposeful, while still keeping your costs down.

Belarusian artist Vika Mitrichenka makes gorgeous tea sets by casting broken pieces of china together, which were picked up by Dutch Design Shop Frozen Fountain, as well as the Stedelijk Museum. At $5,742 for a limited edition set of serving tray, tea pot, dish, sugar and cream bowls, and cup and saucer, you'd better have a pretty tame tea party if you want to use them, but I think it's best to think of Mitrichenka's work as fine art sculptures. Even if you're a coffee person, the Viva Terra Porcelain Branch Teapot ($34, reduced from $69) is so woodsy and whimsically beautiful, I'd endorse using it just for decoration. Or, you can cut the stems of your favorite bouquet short, and fill it for a fresh, Spring-y centerpiece. It's true, the cream and sugar set is sold out, but I think the Michael Aram Twig Sugar and Creamer Set ($40) would work marvelously with it.

I'm pretty surprised by this ceramic pink botanical Urban Outfitters Tea for One Set ($24). The floral print is so different from their usual inventory—in a good way! It's classic and elegant, rather than seasonal and trendy.

The Anthropologie One-Lump-or-Two Lamp ($198) is quite cute in a British country cottage way, and I adore its espresso cup finial. But, I'd say it's a tad overpriced for a table lamp that looks so crafty, and that doesn't come with a shade. Luckily, there's a more affordable alternative that can be customized to fit your color scheme.

Robert Pattinson was back on the London set of Bel Ami this morning looking adorable in his hat and period costume. We caught a glimpse of him yesterday taking a break and strolling with a mug of tea, and it looks like he kept the caffeination coming today with his to-go thermos. Rob didn't skip a beat as he went from promoting Remember Me in NYC to filming this project back home in England.

Robert Pattinson was on the London set of Bel Ami this morning, dressed in his old-timey costume and strolling behind the scenes with a mug of tea. He's home in England again after a whirlwind week of promoting Remember Me in NYC, with many interviews surrounding his big Monday night premiere with Kristen Stewart. He left town on Tuesday evening, but we just got a behind-the-scenes peek at him and Kristen having fun with his family at the screening's afterparty.

Towards the opening of Alice in Wonderland, a young Alice lays in bed as her father leans in to tell her a secret. She's been having odd dreams about a rabbit in a waistcoat, and questions if she's losing her mind. He responds by telling her that crazy people are the best kind.

Budding artists need room to practice their craft. Painting, coloring, and gluing can make a mess, so having a specific area to conduct these activities will help a mama keep the rest of the home neat and tidy. Easels might have done the job in the past, but today's tots often look for a more contemporary twist on the painting platform.
