Silver and gold are perfect colors for decking out your pad for a New Year's Eve party, and you can continue the theme into 2009 by creating a sitting area that echoes those glam metallics.
For my silver seating area, I relied on white and plum tones to offset the blingy silver. The look of this sitting area is refined, feminine, and warm, even though the colors are cool.

One minute I'm dark, the next minute I'm light. In my yin-yang state of mind, I've decided I can have it both ways. After painting my powder room walls black and white, I've covered two more rooms in forest shades and now am at task to accessorize them with appropriate pieces.

TiVo introduced its newest lineup today in NYC: the Premiere ($300) and Premiere XL ($400) boxes, which will both be available in early April for your media consuming needs. One of the main differences between TiVo's Series 3 boxes and these new Series 4 units is the shiny new HD flash interface (Flash? Aside from "holiday slipcovers" (you'll see), I'd say it sounds like she definitely knows what she's talking about.

It's tomb raider week on The Vampire Diaries as we finally set foot inside — while some step out — of the storied tomb.
The show is as intense as we've come to expect from the freshman series, and I think it's a fitting way to end things for a bit (the show is on hiatus for the next few weeks). I'm dying to discuss it, but since everything's a spoiler, come chat with me when you read more

Smoking is a bad habit and a serious health risk. It's dangerous even if you're not a smoker: 3,000 nonsmokers die in the US every year due to complications arising from secondhand smoke. Things aren't looking better for us nonsmokers either.
