Thinking back on all the scrapes and bruises I acquired simply from falling down my stairs as an overly energetic kid, I cringe a little. But there was no stopping me, especially on the days (most) when I was late to school. If only my parents had thought to install some sort of no-slip system, I mightn't have been so black and blue.

I'm sort of addicted to Eos lip balm spheres ($4); there's something about the colorful packaging, the way you can apply it to your whole mouth all at once, and the nonslip texture of the "egg" that makes them really fun to use. Plus the lip balm inside is pretty great, and it's 95 percent organic. I've tried both the sweet mint and the honeysuckle honeydew flavors, and while the former is more refreshing and good if you tend to forget your mints, I like the sweet, herbal flavor of the latter.

Summer's here and the time is right for lil ones to be dancing in the street. But before they get footloose, they've got to cover their feet and Tinseltown's tots and politikids are embracing two styles this season — laid back casual and dainty sophistication. Crocs are still tops for a number of kiddos with Leni Klum, Apple and Moses Martin and River Deary sporting the ubiquitous non-slip sandals that caused a stir when they first hit playgrounds two years ago.

Information
Accidents are the most common cause of death in children 14 years old and younger. In fact, accidents cause more childhood deaths than diseases, drugs, or violence. Fortunately, many accidents -- for both children and adults -- can be avoided if simple safety measures are taken.

Stay on top of the modern doily trend by stepping onto this Urban Outfitters Round Doilie Rug ($30, marked down from $48). I've been loving circular rugs lately — they add such an unexpected silhouette — and this is a cheap and easy way to put one down.
Plus, the black-and-white color combo means it will fit into countless rooms, while its delicate features keep the rug from looking too severe.

Bathing can be a very pleasurable experience for you and your baby. The baby's skin is soft, and it should be treated with care. If this is your first experience in caring for a newborn, it is possible that you may have many questions regarding how to safely bathe your new bundle of joy.

Recently during one of my visits to the gym, I broke out the Agility Dots ($34.95 for 12) in hopes of breaking the boredom of yet another leg routine. Agility Dots are basically flat, nonslip rubber discs that you lay out in a way so that you can hit (or touch) them during agility training — we used them a lot in gym class in high school. I placed them in a clock like pattern (12, 3, 6, and 9 o'clock), stood in the middle and did some dreaded round-the-clock lunges.
