Whether you live in San Francisco, Brooklyn, or points in between, you can pretend you've hopped the pond to summer in Britain with the Life Is Beautiful Deckchair ($151). Just fold up this beauty, tuck it under your arm, and head to the nearest park for some sunning. With a frame made from sustainable merpauh wood that's been treated with teak oil, this fab chair will hold up against an unforeseen thunderstorm, while the canvas, a polyester and cotton mix, will tell everyone how you really feel about life.

In full Summer vacation mode, Gossip guy Chace Crawford recently did some light reading, drank a fountain soda, and lounged in a sophisticated striped chair in a London park. If you happen to live in L-town and want to do some lounging of your own, a little investigative Flickr-ing suggests that you can do the same in Hyde Park. If you live on the other side of the pond, no worries, I've gone and found those purdy chairs for you.

It's Labor Day weekend, and I have a feeling many a baby will be propped on the lawn chair with a cold one resting next to him while his parents snap away. If it's hot enough, mama might even put him in the cooler for a quick ice down. Moms and dads who don't condone children drinking or even wearing gear promoting the alcoholic substances may find posing the babe next to a bottle of booze harmless.

When I think of Summer furnishings, I think of bright, poppy colors with light footprints. I don't want anything that's too heavy on the eye, or too weighty to move easily! That's why I love these Graham and Green Striped Deck Chairs (about $80).

In the current issue of Vanity Fair, writer Bob Colacello interviews Nancy Reagan on everything from her late husband to stem cell research in his article "Nancy Reagan's Solo Role." While the article is full of fascinating information about the former first lady, my eyes were immediately drawn to this photo on the website. The green expanse of lawn, framed by the diminutive Reagan perched upon an elegant, feminine chair, seemed to be the perfect portrait of the quiet, composed woman.

If any of you were around for the iPhone launch in 2007 and the iPhone 3G launch last year, you're probably noticing that the hoopla surrounding this year's launch isn't as crazy as previous years. Before AT&T opened its doors this morning, there were a few people lingering about, but nothing to the effect of lawn chairs, a beverage cooler, and blankets. Here are some pics of what the scene looked like outside San Francisco's Apple store this morning — a decent, civilized line — without any hardcore overnighters.

While I wanted to love Bottle Shock, the film about California's vineyards featuring the blind Paris wine tasting of 1976, I had mixed feelings about the movie. However, I had nothing but love for the decidedly rustic digs that Sam (Rachel Taylor) inhabited on the Chateau Montelena vineyard.
While I can't imagine anyone actually living this exposed to the elements (at the very least some mosquito netting would've helped), I do love the overall effect of the building.
