Emma Stone sure knows how to glam it up, doesn't she? At last night's GQ Men of the Year event in LA, the actress wowed in this subtle lavender shadow. Encircling the eyes with makeup can look raccoon-like, but Emma manages to pull it off, thanks to a light touch and a soft-toned shade. The great thing about this cooler-toned shade is that it looks great during all seasons, and it just happens to be very of-the-moment. You can look pretty in purple shadow, too. Remember how I covered my hideous linoleum floors with woodgrain contact paper? Well, while they looked fabulous, it came time to take them off. The contact paper itself was easy to remove, but as expected, a very tough adhesive residue was left. I tried literally everything to get rid of the sticky mess - WD40, Goo Gone, vinegar, Oops!, you name it - and searched far and wide on the Internet for tips to no avail. In the end, thanks to a tip from a friend, I was able to remove the residue. Want to know what the magic potion was?

Yellow isn't my favorite color, but it's certainly a very powerful one. A room painted in a soft, pale yellow can instantly create a quaint, country vibe, while one pop of bright yellow in a dark room makes a space look modern and adventurous. Witchy Makeup Ideas: Teen Witch

Have you seen Teen Witch? If not, I suggest you do so, merely to see the fabulous rap scene of teenage angst circa 1989. The flick stars Blake Lively's older sister Robyn Lively as Louise Miller, a teenage descendant of witches from Salem. Over the past few weeks, I've been featuring all sorts of witchy ideas for the Halloween season, so to conclude the series, here are a few tips on achieving Louise's Teen Witch look.

Much as the look for Sabrina, the Teenage Witch is '90s all the way, this look is totally '80s. All you need is a long ginger-red wig with bangs. (Cut them down if you have to.) For the ultimate wow factor, create claw bangs on the style by setting the fringe with some self-grip, nonthermal rollers. Once you've achieved the perfect rolls, clip your teased locks back on the sides with a large barrette, and wear frosty makeup. For special touches, include a witch's broomstick accessory and a triangular necklace with swirly blue detailing, which helps give Louise her special powers. Last year it was Sarah Palin, the year before that it was Amy Winehouse, and 10 years ago, I seem to recall lots of Monica Lewinskys strutting their stuff.
