If you live in the New York metro area, you know very well of the Hamptons' reputation as THE place to be in the summertime. If not, you've probably caught a glimpse of the glory of the Long Island townships in movies like Something's Gotta Give and Grey Gardens. Unless you're a lucky dog who owns a home in the popular seaside locale, most visitors rent a Summer share or score a bed with a friend, as hotels in the area tend to be overpriced and lacking in looks (and personal BBQ grills).

Headed to Spain this Summer? If I were, I'd stay a few nights at The Hoopoe Yurt Hotel in Cortes de la Frontera in Andalucia, Spain. Yurts — circular, portable domed dwellings — were originally used by nomadic people, especially in central Asia, but are now found throughout the world.

One of the largest, oldest, and best-known "grand hotels" in London, The Langham, reopened yesterday after a $130 million refurbishment. Mayor of London Boris Johnson and the hotel's managing director Katie Benson officially reopened the hotel yesterday with a ceremonial ribbon-cutting. The historic hotel was built in 1865, and over the years, has been frequented by the likes of Mark Twain, Napoleon III, and Oscar Wilde, and even became the set of several of Arthur Conan Doyle's Sherlock Holmes stories.

Beyond high hopes for an ergonomic desk chair, most of us don't give a second thought to what our office space looks like. But when you're an architect, the design of your workspace may not only affect your productivity and mood, but the impressions of your clients as well. Madrid-based architecture firm Selgas Cano should have no trouble dazzling clients who visit its office, a futuristic gem in the middle of the woods.

Whenever I feel overwhelmed by my urban life, I like to daydream about living in a country village — perhaps in France. Well, I may not be able to live that dream full-time, but thanks to the beautiful bed and breakfast le 33, located in the tiny village of south Picardie, I may be able to visit it sometime.
Operated by Florence Michon, le 33 provides elegant lodging for visitors to the region.

Amsterdam ad agency Nothing has manifested its name in its office space by building it entirely out of cardboard. The idea was conceived by Alrik Koudenburg who wanted to use the most "nothing" building material he could find. The space was designed by Joost van Bleiswijk and uses a no-screw-no-glue technique.

St. Patrick's Day may be over, but that's no reason not to cast an eye toward Ireland, especially when the view is this fantastic. If you're headed to Ireland for a honeymoon or an adventure, consider booking a night at the g hotel in Galway, which evokes old Hollywood glamour on the Emerald Isle.

If you're a fan of Shakespearean romance (without, you know, the death and deception), then consider heading to Verona to get married on the same balcony where Juliet supposedly lived. The balcony is located on the second floor of the supposed 14th-century Casa di Giulietta (home of Juliet) in Verona, Italy. While Italian folklore claims that the balcony was part of the home of the Renaissance-era Cappellos (supposedly the family portrayed in William Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet as the Capulets), there is no solid evidence to confirm this claim.
