I consider myself a pretty crafty person: I love making collages, homemade cards, and fun little invitations. So when I came across this project on Craftzine to create your own drink markers and authentic photo framed wine glasses, I got super excited. It's recommended that you use random close up shots of your friends and family, but think about the endless possibilities!

A save-the-date card is a non-traditional wedding reminder that lets guests know the date of an upcoming marriage far in advance. Generally the cards are sent six months to a year before the wedding, before the real invitations are mailed. There are plenty of beautiful store made save the date cards out there, but you can do it yourself if you let your inventive imagination go creatively wild.

Lately I've been hosting dinner after dinner and I've been dying to have a reason to host a big blowout bash. And I've just found my reason: Mardi Gras! Mardi Gras is typically celebrated the last five days leading up to Lent with the biggest day of partying on Fat Tuesday, the night before Ash Wednesday.
