The family who owns this home, which was recently featured in a Los Angeles Times article, chose a gorgeous, expensive Moooi pendant for the ceiling in their bathroom. However, they chose cabinetry from a store known for its deals. Can you tell me the name of the store?

Do You Have Colored Cabinetry?

These vibrant green cabinets are not something I'd choose for my own home, but seeing this bold color choice has got me to thinking about how rare colored cabinets in general are. White and wood stains are pretty much the standard when it comes to kitchen cabinetry, although there are some common exceptions like the Ikea Akrum Cabinet. But I rarely see even a more subtle color like light blue. Do you have colored cabinets? If so, tell me what color in the comments below!

Do You Have a Breakfast Nook?

A breakfast nook is a great addition to any home. I had one in a rental house in college, and besides eating breakfast there, I'd use it to study, drink wine with friends, and write papers on my laptop. I especially love the old built-in nooks that are often standard with early 20th century homes, though unfortunately many have been removed to make more room for cabinetry or storage.

Glenn Close Lists Her Upper West Side Digs

$11.8 million is a lot of money. A lot of money. If I had that kind of money, I would most definitely buy myself a beautiful spread, and hire a fancy decorator to fill it with killer décor. But apparently Glenn Close doesn't have the same priorities.

She's put her 2,000-square-foot, two-bedroom, two-and-one-half bath apartment on Central Park West on the market for a whopping $11.8 million, and from the looks of it - furnishings spare, underwhelming, and poorly arranged - decorating is not one of her priorities. But that's OK because the bones of the place are fabulous. It boasts a wood-burning fireplace, two expansive terraces with french doors overlooking Central Park and the Museum of Natural History, two studies, a guest room, hardwood floors, coffered ceilings, and custom Craftsman-style cabinetry. It's just waiting for some glamorous Manhattanite with big pockets to swoop it up. Know anyone?

Megan Fox Transforms Her Address

Tattooed Transformers starlet Megan Fox has swooped up a 5,200-square-foot, four-bedroom, five-bath home in LA's Los Feliz for the measly sum of $2.9 million.

Built in 1936, the Mediterranean-style house boasts restored original details, panoramic ocean and city views, custom hardwood floors, state-of-the-art security, and a pool with several terraces and lawn areas. The view alone would be enough to sell me, but it also has gorgeous features, including beautiful bones, white flat-fronted cabinetry, a Viking range, Carrara marble countertops in the bath and kitchen, and a free-standing tub. Actor couple Ted Danson and Mary Steenburgen have purchased an absolutely charming home in LA's Brentwood neighborhood for $3.11 million. The four-bedroom, three-and-one-half bath home has a great, wide, columned front porch met by a stone walkway and beautiful landscaping out front; it's a far cry from the sequestered, gated celebrity homes we often see. Inside, the home is very nicely decorated, with lots of color and comfortable furnishings; if I were them, I'd want to buy it as is! The bones of the house are wonderful, too, with plenty of built-in cabinetry, dozens of windows, and handsome hardwood floors, as well as updated appliances like a Viking stove. Coveted Crib: A Paper-Perfect Studio Loft

If I had my druthers, I probably wouldn't choose to live in a studio. But if I had to, I cannot imagine a more perfect space than this studio loft in Lägenhet, Stockholm (which is for sale). With tall ceilings, a bed and extra storage are tucked up high, making for a true living room. The apartment's bright white walls and beautiful natural light expand the space, while a select few gorgeously wallpapered walls give it depth and serious style. The kitchen has streamlined modern white cabinetry and one of my favorite elements: concrete countertops. The bathroom is complete with a towel warmer (woot!), a washer/dryer, and a sharp zebrawood sink basin. And better yet, it boasts what every girl dreams of: a walk-in closet. Etsy Find: Janet Hill Studios Paintings

For those of us who daydream over shelter magazine spreads and redecorate in our heads, the paintings of Stratford artist Janet Hill are tempting eye candy. On her Etsy site, she notes, "As a result of living in a cold climate for six months of the year, I've developed a strong interest in the beauty of interiors. My inspiration lies in interior, furniture, and fashion design, as well as films. I love the glamour and beauty of interior surroundings."

Perhaps my favorite print of Janet's is this Zucchini Blossoms Print ($11). The open shelving in the center of this photo features elegant dishes, and the cool, green cabinetry and countertops overflow with a Summer garden's bounty.
