The branches trend came onto the design scene almost two years ago, and it's still kicking. Su Casa member ckim8120, who is often inspired by nature, put her own spin on the trend by making a jewelry stand out of a tree branch she found outdoors. The only supplies the DIY requires are a tree branch, white spray paint, and newspaper.

The tree-branch trend may be giving way to birch and other motifs, but I still appreciate a lovely tree-inspired accent. Especially one that's sleek and metallic rather than brown and burly; even better if it's on sale.
If you're knot ready to give up the tree trend just yet, snap up these Viva Terra Recycled Aluminum Bark Candlesticks ($89, marked down from $179).

Yesterday CasaSugar tipped us off to a great bargain on the Viva Terra Porcelain Branch Teapot. I loved the woodsy look and it got me curious about the whole branch trend in general. I've seen it in many home-decorating elements and knew that I'd find a similar pattern in kitchenware.

I've been loving the branches look for a while now, and only recently realized that I hadn't featured it in a trend alert. Since my mind's been on Fall, with its falling leaves and bare branches, I thought it was a great time to highlight some of my favorite finds with the branch trend. Are you enjoying this trend as much as I am, or are you starting to think it's a little played out?

This DIY tree branch curtain rod project doesn't seem like most original idea ever. But actually, I've never seen it done before; it looks rustic-chic; it achieves that branches trend; and it's super easy to pull off. Here are the steps, according to do-it-yourself:
Find a tree branch slightly wider than your window trim.
Use pruning shears to remove long twigs, but leave a few stubs for character.
Spray-paint the branch or leave it natural.
Choose tie-top curtain panels, which allow you to adjust for the curves of the branch—no clips or rings needed.

I haven't seen much of songstress Michelle Branch these days. But the Union Jack bathroom rug in her recently listed Nashville property is a familiar face. Although the lady is an Arizona native, she was named after the Beatles song "Michelle," which in my mind gives her ample right to adorn her home with a Brit flag.

Branch Home is a quaint online boutique specializing in sustainable home furnishings, gifts, and accessories. That means that every product sold on the Branch site is made in an environmentally friendly way: using organic and sustainably grown fibers or recycled materials, like the Vintage Magazine Notecards shown above, which are available for $9 here. Fortunately, Branch puts as much importance on sleek, hip design as it does on sustainability.

For those of you who, like me, don't mind a little of the forest setting up shop in your living room, then this Gump's Branch Lamp (normally $495, on sale for $294.99) is a find indeed. Exclusive to the store, this floor lamp adds a hint of nature to your home without screaming trendy. This delicate sapling of a lamp is hand cast from brass with realistic bark detailing and a dark bronze finish.

Incorporating natural elements into your decor — whether it's a houseplant or a woven grass rug — really adds life to a room. This charming tree-branch towel rack I spotted on Design*Sponge would be a really easy way to bring a touch of nature to your kitchen or bathroom. Just find a smooth piece of driftwood or sand down a stick you've scavenged and secure it to the wall with screws.
