This adorable Jeu de Quilles (Bowling) Set ($575), designed to look like toy soldiers, is from 1940s France. With only nine pins left, it's probably a bit difficult to play a genuine bowling game. So, I'd like you to think outside of the alley and tell me how you'd use the set in your home as décor or a furnishing.

Faking a shorter haircut by means of skillfully placed hair pins is nothing new. In fact, we saw Rosario Dawson do her own faux-crop late last year, followed by Nicole Kidman's asymmetric version. In recent times, the look has taken on resurgence in popularity, as celebrities have been tricking us out with their own adaptations, giving the appearance of freshly cut locks.

It's pretty safe to say that last night's 2009 MTV VMAs were one of the most entertaining in recent history. You had your Kanye outburst, Pink's Cirque du Soleil-style act, Lady Gaga's bloody performance, and cast members from Twilight taking the stage to premiere the New Moon trailer. (And in case you didn't hear the buzz, it was also a night for Kristen Stewart to cozy up with costar Robert Pattinson backstage.) At first, it looked like Kristen had chopped her Joan Jett-esque locks, but alas, it was just the mastery of Pantetne celebrity stylist Hallie Bowman, who created this edgy, faux-bowl-cut style with a modern feel.

Don't say I didn't warn you: You're going to die over everything in Elizabeth and James' Spring collection. As usual, the pieces, dreamed up by Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen, are quirky enough to stand out yet entirely sleek. Fans of the line know it wouldn't be Elizabeth and James without a touch of menswear, but you'll also see super femme pieces offset by tough jewelry.

Last night at the Sixth Annual Leather And Laces Celebration after the Super Bowl in Florida, sexy celebrities Carmen Electra and Kim Kardashian battled the red carpet donning the same hairdo. This modern take on the half up, half down look, where just a section at the top of the crown gets pinned back, is one of Carmen's favourites (she wore it this way on her wedding day). I love it too, as it's a practical way to keep your hair out of your eyes, but still maintain an all-down appearance.

As expected, the Betty Jackson Fashion Show knew how to appeal to the masses. There was a mix of flowy and tailored pieces in an array of burnt browns, yellows and grays perfect for Autumn. The makeup was classical, with a dark-lined eye, structured cheek and a red lip, however, the colour was applied to the center of the mouth only giving it a modern twist.

Su Casa member Kimpossible responded to my January Su Casa Challenge and posted photos of a bright corner in her home that holds special significance for her family.
She writes, "This is one of my favorite spots in our home. It's a sideboard that houses games, but it's the map above and bowls on top of it that make it my favorite.

Let the colors of the Olympic symbol — blue, yellow, black, green, and red — inspire the decor of your Olympics viewing party. Start by running a white cloth down the middle of a buffet table. Set the food on five circular plates arranged in the Olympic symbol pattern.

Using an eye pillow is a great way to encourage relaxation. When you place one over your eyes, the darkness, gentle pressure, and calming aroma of herbs will help you drift into tranquility. It can also help to quiet your mind if you're stressed, relieve pain from a headache or sinus pressure, or help you fall asleep.

Hard of head? Then our friends in Japan have devised a game for you! To play human bowling, contestants dress down to a pair of swim trunks, hurl their bodies across a long slip 'n slide, and ram headfirst into one hundred pins.
