Anthropologie's November catalog is a surefire way to get in the holiday spirit. British model Jacquetta Wheeler - dressed in everything from pretty lace to cozy sweaters - is seen frolicking in (faux) snow. It's all so romantic. I can't help but be consumed by the impressive styling, and I'm sure CasaSugar is mesmerized by the rustic scene. Granted, not everyone wears shorts in the snow, but I adore Jacquetta's outfit here; a little checkers, a little wool, equals a lot of charm. Experience it for yourself.

Anthropologie to Open First London Outpost Oct. 23

Anthropologie will open its first European outpost, and the first outside of North America, in the heart of London's West End on Oct. 23. Anthropologie has made a habit of seeking out architecturally distinct spaces for its stores, and this one will be no exception. The store will occupy a historically renowned, three-story building at 158 Regent Street, which was once home to Waterford Wedgwood, a prominent English china retailer since the 18th century.
The new store will sell Anthropologie's signature mix of fashion, accessories, home décor, decorative antiques, and found objects - many discovered around the world by antiques buyer Keith Johnson. As with all of the brand's stores, Regent Street will also incorporate reclaimed materials from nearby and feature work by local artists. Another shop will open early next year on London's King's Road. Londoners, get your wallets ready! And a night job while you're at it!

Sneak Peek! Mise en Scene by Ruffian at Anthropologie

Not too long after we announced Ruffian was designing a collection for Anthropologie, the fruits of Brian Wolk and Claude Morais's labor are here to devour. Deemed Mise en Scene, literally meaning "put in the scene," the line is broodingly romantic, powerful and subtle at the same time. The outerwear is especially handsome, as is this Jacquard Gala Dress ($228) on the right. Prices range from $38 for tights up to $348 for a coat. There are also a few candles, the brand's book Ruffian: Inside Out, as well as wine, water, martini, and champagne glasses.

Obama Buys $4,800 Recycled Chandelier For Daughters' White House Bedroom

In last night's episode of Man Shops Globe, Keith Johnson traveled to South Africa, where he was on the hunt for not-so-typical African crafts. After stumbling upon some unusual pottery and a handmade wooden dining chair straight out of a Van Gogh painting, he wandered into a magical art collective shop called Magpie , which sells knickknacks and décor made entirely from recycled objects. Be it a lid to a dog food can, a wine cork, or a Barbie, the eco-conscious craftsman turned the disposable into the extraordinary. Johnson was blown away by a tall, dramatic chandelier made from found objects, trinkets, and castoffs, and ordered one for Anthropologie.

As it turns out, President Obama bought the $4,800 recycled chandelier for Sasha and Malia's bedroom in the White House. We did learn back in January that the Obamas planned to decorate the girls' room with Pottery Barn and Anthropologie, and that they already have a large collection of African and Asian art, so it's quite fitting actually! While the purchase is certainly expensive for young girls, as is the family's celebrity decorator Michael Smith, Barack and Michelle did decide to pay for their White House renovations personally, and forgo the allotted $100,000 presidential decorating budget, so you can't blame them!

Sometimes a dress has a great print, sometimes it has a smashing shape, but it's not often you find one that has both and is affordable. This Anthropologie Early Blue Chemise ($30, originally $58) is it. The indigo and violent bud print is darling and the yellow background makes it even sweeter. But what I'm most drawn by is the shape - the asymmetrical bodice, the draped neckline, the cinched waist. I envision it coming further to life with a pair of cozy gray tights and smart oxfords.

Pimp Your Crib: Lighting For Baby's Nursery

God said, "Let there be light," but he didn't say it had to be a high voltage fluorescent one beaming from a heinous fixture in baby's room. One of the easiest ways to quickly improve the state of a nursery is to install a new light fixture. With all of the options floating around, you can't go wrong. There's one to fit every style and budget.

Simple: For a room that has details in every nook and cranny, it's nice to keep the lighting simple with a pendant lamp from Serena and Lily ($169).
Modern: If baby's room has the Ouef crib and she's rollin' in the Orbit stroller. Keeping with the modern theme. Design Within Reach ($300) has a balloon fixture that will complement baby's style.
Classic: If you're more the MacLaren type with gingham bedding, you might like a chandelier that passes the test of time from Pottery Barn Kids ($129). You can buy the different shades ($9) to match it up to the rest of your decor.
Funky Cool: For those who have created a wicked cool nursery and don't mind throwing some cash towards the glow, invest in the sweet Anthropologie Bird chandelier ($798). We know it's a hefty price to pay but those lil birds are heavenly.
Luxurious: Melania Trump's nursery made you all a flutter. If you crave Baron's style with gold gilded angels and drapes touching the ground, luxury is your middle name. Your prince or princess deserves the best with a Bellacor antique style lamp ($461).

If you know someone handy, they might be able to install it for you. If not, don't fret - most electricians can install a light fixture in no time. Pretty soon your (I mean baby's) nursery will look like the dreamland you always imagined.

They're on the top of my Winter styling list once the weather cools down because of their tomboyish, yet flirty, appeal. Paired with tights, these cozy shorts will keep you looking stylishly warm all season long. I'm going to pair mine with a chambray top and oxfords when I'm feeling quirky, and with booties and a chiffon top for a romantic vibe.

The Flintstones would be so proud to see how their Stone Age fashions have influenced some of fashion's best. Peep Jeremy Scott's Spring '10 collection to see what I'm talking about. The quirky designer featured an awe-inspiring line based off the hit '60s cartoon complete with bone barrettes, bright colors, and animal prints. No doubt, Wilma and Betty would be super stoked to wear his kitschy confections. Thankfully, you don't have to buy designer to achieve the Flintstones' archaic look. Seek animal prints, faux-fur vests, and natural chunky jewelry for sexy Stone Age appeal - Wilmaaaaa!
