This ornate pair of cypress wood Chinese Window Panels ($3,750) originally had an architectural (yet decorative) purpose in 19th century China. But, their greek key pattern, which is very popular these days, certainly gives the screen a sort of à la mode flair. I'd love to see them used in a home's interior, rather than its structure, and I'm wondering what ideas you have for them.

I'm starting to think Apple might be reading my mind — every time I find something I don't like about my iPhone, I realize they've already thought of a solution. Nearly a year ago to date, I let you know that Meg Ryan had listed her six-bedroom, seven-bath Bel-Air home for the tune of $19.5 million. With no bites, she took it off the market in February. Now, she's relisted the property with a new real estate agent, knocking the price down to $14.2 million.

Earlier this year, Microsoft announced their plan to open a retail store, and yesterday was the day! The Scottsdale, AZ store drew an initial crowd of around 500 people who waited in line for the opening, including some die-hard fans who spent the night. British-born actress Jacqueline Bisset first became well-known in the late 1960s for her parts in films such as Bullitt, Casino Royale, and Two For the Road, in which she starred with Audrey Hepburn. The wavy-haired actress, now 65, was initially often cast for her stunning good looks, aka "window dressing" roles. In fact, in the late 1970s, Newsweek named her "the most beautiful film actress of all time," and I'm guessing that Andrew McCarthy's character in Class would have to agree.

The Zune Phone rumor that surfaced in late 2008 obviously didn't come out in 2009 (we got the Zune HD instead), but there is still new Microsoft cell phone news this year.
