Not to be a brat or anything, but my family has been using the same gigantic Christmas stockings for more than 20 years, always filled to the brim with lots of goodies. So, at 12" x 21", the John Robshaw Block Printed Holly Stockings ($70 each) won't do for me, but they're certainly stylish enough to hang on the mantel simply as décor in my home. Available with a mistletoe, candy cane, or peppermint pattern, they're quite festive and would also make a wonderful gift for anyone you know who's building up their collection of holiday décor.

How cool would it be to get a Christmas stocking created by either Vera Wang, Alexander McQueen, Marc Jacobs, Tuleh, Rodarte, or the boys from Heatherette? Well, starting Wednesday, December 19 at 6 p.m. PST, cool can become a reality.

The best part about buying beauty gifts as stocking stuffers is that most beauty items are small enough to fit inside. If you're willing to indulge, a stocking full of bath, body, hair, nail, fragrance and makeup items could be a product junkies dream gift come true! I bet you never thought that filling up stockings could be so much fun, but as the saying goes, good things come in small packages.

I know, I know, it still might seem a bit early to be thinking about Christmas gifts, but after posting one cute iPod dock that would make a good stocking stuffer, I had to add this funky option to the list.
The Boombox Dock Speaker ($18) is compatible with most iPods and the iPhone, and is less than three inches long. It's totally retro and inexpensive — I love it!

I know, stocking stuffers haven't even crossed your mind yet, but now that I'm starting to whip up my holiday gift guides, I can't help but think about gadgets and gizmos that would make perfect Christmas gifts.
I found this adorable little battery-operated desktop speaker from the Container Store that only costs $10 and works with any iPhones, iPod Touches, and iPods — hello! Great inexpensive gift!

Apparently this is a real metric: Facebook recently announced it would begin to track our gross national happiness via status messages. The social networking company worked with a team of social psychologists to come up with lists of positive words ("yay," "happy," and "awesome," for example) and negative words ("sad," "doubt," "tragic.")
It then published an index of how we are collectively feeling day-to-day. Turns out we're happiest on national holidays like Thanksgiving and Christmas, and social holidays like Halloween.

Before you shake your head at this pooch ensemble, I'll speak up that my dog reacts towards rain something like the Wicked Witch — you'd think he would actually start melting. So if your pups wish for the rain to go, go away, peep this cute new coat from Juicy. Yeah, at $50, it may rival the price of your windbreaker but maybe for that holiday wish list?
