Jan 29 2010 - 6:00am Last month I showed you how I stacked my books like Bruno Rainaldi's Sapien Bookcase without having any bookcase at all! There are many impersonators of the bookcase, CB2's Array Bookcase ($189) being one of them, which I've always thought is just as sharp as the original. And though I've found a way to do without one, now CB2's blog In the Loop is making me think otherwise.
Sorry, in my opinion, there's no substitute for the Sapien bookcase, especially for the tall Sapien. The knock-offs do not come close, as far as height, craftsmanship, and simple elegance.
I've examined all models up close. JMHO.

That is a really cool idea! We have a small bathroom.
1Cool for the towels, but not for books.. way too much dust collection.
2If you're interested, Overstock has the same bookshelf cheaper than CB2. Quality is excellent (it's probably the same item that CB2 sells!)
