Generally acknowledged as the most important art show in the US, Art Basel Miami Beach, the sister event of Switzerland's Art Basel, kicks off today in Miami's hip Art Deco District, and will run through Dec. 7. Art collectors, artists, dealers, curators, and plain old art lovers alike come to this special mass exhibit to enjoy artwork from over 250 leading international art galleries, parties galore, and events featuring music (Yelle performed last night), film, and architecture.

Miami Beach is always a happening place, but come December 6-9, things are taking a more international turn. The revered art show Art Basel Miami Beach is taking place and the fashion flock wouldn't miss it for the world.
As part of the festivities, Alberta Ferretti is planning to restage her recent Grecian-inspired Spring runway show at a Miami Beach palazzo on December 8.

Beyonce and Jay-Z headed down to Florida yesterday to check out the pieces at Art Basel in Miami Beach. This couple has always enjoyed a vacation in the sun, and Beyonce deserves a break more than ever after all of her time spent promoting and performing. Now it's time for B to sit back and see what happens at the box office when Cadillac Records hits the theaters today — judging from Buzz's review, Beyonce's great in it.

Kirsten Dunst headed to Miami and away from her scary stalker drama earlier this week. She and her friends checked out Art Basel Miami before strolling along South Beach, joined by Kirsten's ex-boyfriend Matt Creed, who has also been hanging out with Mary-Kate Olsen in Florida this week. Unfortunately, the two starlets even got into an argument at a party during the festival before Dunst failed at an attempt to flirt with Tom Brady.

Lenny Kravitz was looking a little less rocker and a little more chic in his skinny tie and black ensemble underneath the hot Miami sun yesterday. Lucky for someone as cool as Lenny, I'm sure that the climate is never a problem. Groan.
