Gwyneth Paltrow and Apple Martin held hands as they shopped around Manhasset, New York yesterday. For now, Gwyneth's holding down the fort while Chris tours through South America with Coldplay, and the one-time Academy Award winner isn't expected to walk the red carpet at this weekend's Oscar ceremony in LA. We're sure to see more of Gwyneth and her incredibly toned assets this Spring with Iron Man 2 set to be released in May.

Gwyneth Paltrow was up early in London yesterday for another day of bringing Apple and Moses to school. The family spent their Summer in California as Gwyneth finished work on Iron Man 2, but now they're busy getting back to their English roots and routine despite some drama with dad Chris Martin. Moses didn't bring his special furry friend along to class today, but he seemed to be having a ball skipping down the street with his sister for company.

Apple and Moses were wearing their plaid uniforms as they chatted animatedly with their mom. Gwyneth is sticking to her weekday routine while dealing with rumors that Chris Martin was seen kissing Kate Bosworth at his concert. His reps have already denied the story, though this isn't the first time that trouble has been reported for Chris and Gwyneth.

Gwyneth Paltrow was spotted at the airport in Barcelona on Sunday with her kids, Apple and Moses, and husband Chris Martin. They were all traveling along with Chris as he tours with Coldplay, bringing them back to the region Gwyneth explored with Spain. . . On the Road Again. Moses even flashed a quick smile, showing off his short hair after chopping off his long locks. Chris and his band have a few more dates in Europe before they head back home to the UK to perform a handful of shows alongside good family friend Jay-Z.

Sasha Obama boarded Air Force One in a pair and landed in Moscow in another, while Suri Cruise opted for a more wild style while attending the Australian theater.

Coldplay's soulful music makes us understand why stunner Gwyneth Paltrow went weak at the knees for front man, Chris Martin. Using his music to comment on historical events and current social conditions, Martin has jettisoned his band to the global stage. When he's not touring the world or collecting Grammys, the very private musician can sometimes be seen spotted with his tots – Apple, 4, and Moses, 3, – at the playground or an amusement park. Rarely photographed together, Martin and his wonder woman wife say they cherish the bit of privacy they have been able to create for their family in both London and New York.

After taking some heat for naming their first-born after a piece of fruit, Martin spoke out on the rash of odd celebrity baby names, saying:

"People make a big fuss over names. Names of babies, names of albums, names of bands. There's nothing weird about calling your baby Chewbacca if that's what you want to call your baby. It's no stranger than Sarah. A name is just a noise, and if you like it, then f*** what everyone else says.''

While I may not be considering Star Wars characters to name my next child, it's nice to know that Martin is so open-minded.

Gwyneth Paltrow made time to pick up Apple and Moses from their school in LA yesterday. The actress has been busy on the set of Iron Man 2, but at the end of the day it's time to put away the Pepper Potts wig and make sure her kids are getting used to their new California digs. The West Coast isn't a totally new environment for Gwyneth's kids - they spent two Summers ago in LA when mom was working on Iron Man - and at least there are lots of longtime celebrity friends to spend holidays and weekends with.

Gwyneth picked a sheer number for their outing, showing that she knows a thing or two about the latest piece of her lifestyle empire.
