A lot of my design inspiration comes from nature, and tree branches are the easiest way to bring earthy elements to your home. West elm has jumped on this bandwagon, along with a hand full of other retailers. (click to enlarge my inspiration board below)
I am a HUGE accessories freak.

One of the fabulous things about my job is being surrounded by great design minds. With the seasonal whirlwind of decorating and entertaining swiftly upon us, I tapped west elm’s creative director of design – who is also an exceptional entertainer - Alex Bates to share her expertise and show us how to create a modern and chic mood flawlessly and easily without breaking the bank! I hope you love these as much as I do.

I love it when I find something that resembles a high end item for a much better price...here are a few items I've been looking at, and their equally cute (but much more affordable) cousins.
Side Tables
The table on the left is from Williams-Sonoma Home, and retails for $650.00, but is on sale right now for $450.00. The table on the right is from West Elm and retails for $179.00.

I received the following question yesterday from Laura:
Hi Angel,
I have a question related more towards the design industry. I am about to graduate with a degree in Fine Art with a focus on 3D art and really would love to get into the design industry. I looove West Elm and have even applied to a few entry level positions, but havent heard anything back.
