Isn't this absolutely gorgeous? It's something that I've always wanted to make, but I've never gotten around to it. But I love how simple it is and how it can the most minimalistic vase (or other piece of glass) into a work of art.

My Find of the Week:
With all the recent chatter about chandeliers on CasaSugar, I thought you might like to see my latest discount retail find.
These vases are made from beveled mirrors, which gives them an expensive look. I love the screenprinted bergere chair and chandelier, which gives them a decidedly deco look, but also a modern look of today.

A couple Thanksgivings ago, I celebrated with my neighbor's family and their two fantastic kids in Tahoe. The turkey was in the oven and I realized we didn't have a centerpiece for the table. I had found two empty large fish bowls/vases in the house.

A dear friend gave me this vase when I went to Peru, and I love it. It's simple and sleek, yet whimsical. The lizards look like they are encrusted in mother of pearl, but it is actually the ancient manufacturing process that the artisans of the town of Chulucanas use to make it look like that, smooth and polished.

I've been on a pottery craze lately and happened to stumble upon a local artist's work online. Sara Paloma's works are just breathtaking. I also can't help but notice what zen-like quality they have.
