OK, so I know these in no way compare to designer maternity jeans, but since I'll only be wearing them for a couple months (Spring is coming soon and that means skirts and dresses!), I thought I'd save my dough and make some of my own. I converted a pair of my old jeans by cutting off the top and attaching an elastic waistband. Not too bad right?

There may have been few surprises on Oscar night Sunday, but there was plenty of heart. Glowing in gold as she stood in the winners' circle, Sandra Bullock – who noted that George Clooney once threw her into a swimming pool years ago – acknowledged each of her sister nominees, including the "great kisser" Meryl Streep, then focused on the message of her movie, The Blind Side: that the mother figure is the one who brings light and love into a person's life.

IT won't just be the clothes vying for our attention on the Giles catwalk tomorrow when Paris Fashion Week takes hold. The designer has enlisted a stellar line-up of models to walk in his autumn/winter 2010-11 show, which will take place at 6.30pm tomorrow evening (Paris time). From the Victoria's Secret posse comes Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, Alessandra Ambrosio, Izabel Goulart and Karolina Kurkova, while Jessica Stam, Angela Lindvall, Carmen Kass, Coco Rocha and Natasha Poly are among the other top models we can expect to see. It looks like it's going to be quite the show - and that's without having seen the clothes yet.
