Yesterday CasaSugar posted a piece on staircase design, particularly highlighting the creative work one Sugar did on her risers up her staircase (Cool Idea: A Damask Makeover). The piece reminded me of the work that Melanie of Modello Designs did at the Peacock Pavilions in Morocco.
Many of you know that my sister, Bizzybee, and I just returned from Morocco and are further inspired by the beautiful designs and motifs we saw.

This was too good not to share!
My name is Phelyx and I have been asked by several Stencil Revolution members to produce a tutorial for my bleaching process. Sometimes, I am called the bleach guy.

On Wednesday, July 25, CasaSugar posted the Midday Muse: Midday Muse: Fun Retro Florals and posed the question, "How could you use this idea in a room?"
As it happens, we've been working on our living room as well and I was stuck for a piece of artwork that would work above the sofa.

Use stencils to decorate gingerbread snacking cake and chocolate brownies with powdered-sugar silhouettes of witches, pumpkins, black cats, and spiders.
To make stencils, blow up our Halloween-themed templates to desired size on a copy machine, using stiff paper. Cut out with a utility knife.

After reading the Better Homes and Gardens October Issue and checking out their dog stencils, I decided to create my own. This is Maia (on the left) and Benny (on the right). They're Australian Cattle Dog/Smooth Collie mixes.

((Some local drama, Petaluma is pretty well known in my area for having pothole filled roads. I read today that the mayor ended up turning down both offers))
Animal rights activists are clucking over Petaluma’s plans to allow the KFC restaurant chain to fix potholes in the city.
People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals said Tuesday the company sells “cruelly produced products” and should not be permitted to stencil its logo over repaired spots in the pavement.

I recently painted this cozy hall and bath with two colors from the same family. I changed out the standard mirror for one that hung in my childhood bedroom. I added a few personal accessories I've inherited over the years, some original art, and a shelf from Ikea.

A CHESTER lap dancing club has come with "a cheeky" idea for how struggling companies can defy the credit crunch.

My sister Amelia is getting married on December 15th, and AHHHH, I'm making her wedding cake in addition to being in her wedding. I just thought I would post some ideas that I have about her cake and also keep progress reports of what I have accomplished so far. At this point I haven't really accomplished anything except the fact that I know what her colors are and I have a couple of ideas about what I want to do.
