KAMIAH, Idaho. - A North Idaho woman's drive along the Lochsa River earlier this month turned into a nightmare after she was impaled through her neck by a tree limb.
Twenty-year-old Michelle Childers and her husband, 22-year-old Daniel Childers, were taking a recreational drive along the Lochsa River on September 5.

Hi,
We're purchasing our first home (we've put an offer on the bank-approved-full-price and been accepted by the seller but since it's a short sale, we're waiting for the bank to respond).
I know this is way too early, but I would LOVE inputs, suggestions on how to 'reno' or 'refresh' the kitchen and bathroom. We're going to be purchasing all new appliances (they don't come with any working ones), painting, putting new carpet on the floor (since their hardwood is in a real sorry state), mowing the lawn and 'cleaning up' the whole exterior that has looked like a fire-hazard jungle, etc.

Ian Birrell: Why I don't believe that the NHS is sacrosanct
In this heartfelt polemic, based on his family's experiences in the health service, our writer argues that it suffers from deep flaws – and we are wrong to ignore them

It was a simple thing. Another blood test, some more investigations into whatever flawed gene or missing protein might be the cause of my daughter's troubled life, with her terrible seizures, her blindness, her inability to walk or talk or eat unaided. Over the past 15 years, there have been many such attempts to identify her condition.

Recently I had a lengthy discussion with a group of people (strangers) that happened to be waiting with me for a Toastmaster's meeting. The topic somehow managed to turn to “superstitions” and I stood there listening contently as it was a somewhat bizarre topic to come up amongst a bunch of strangers.
One person went on and on about the importance of having a proper “Mezuzah” at their door to protect a home (A mezuzah is a oblong box with a piece of paper in it with specific scriptures written on it) and the awful things which occurred to them when it was not “proper” and then how life changed for them after a clergyman “fixed” the problem.

Three years ago I met a guy at the bar. We had an instant sexual chemistry, and I ended up going home and having sex with him that first night. We never exchanged contact information, and I left his place very early in the morning before he even woke up, so there would be no awkward goodbyes or anything.

For the last 3 years I've been after my husband to clear out the patio behind our garage. Little by little he's been removing his acquired stuff and we are now deeply involved in getting it ship shape.
I'll be uploading to this album as we progress so, if you're interested, keep an eye out.

Another Sunday the Good Lord has given us. It has been a difficult week, and I am grateful for the gift of fortitude and tenacity I have been given to deal with it. I am grateful that God has given me enough challenge and enough successes to know that I will be able to handle the stuff that comes along.
