You can always rely on Burlington Coat Factory for great coats-even designer coats-for a lot less than department store prices. And the wide selection is always a plus. Last weekend I saw this down filled “Chevron Puffer Coat with Faux Fur Trim” by London Fog and was surprised at the price-originally $150, it was now only $70!

I've been dating my boyfriend for 2 years now, and three months ago he asked me to marry him. After some time to think about it apart from him, I decided to say yes (pending he talk with my dad), but now I'm starting to regret it! When he asked me he didn't have a ring - which is perfectly understandable, as we're both still students - but I said it was okay as long as we got one soon.

I got these pants on clearance at NY&Co the other day since right now I'm trying to build up my "basic must haves" part of my wardrobe. Every girl needs a pair of good black slacks and at $13 these were not bad. I wore this to a Chinese New Year festival since I had to work a booth since I teach art at the AGW Chinese School on Sundays; many Chinese parents there so this had to be semi-conservative.

For my birthday, my boyfriend booked us a stay at a hotel. The look was fun and over-the-top, complete with leopard print carpet and a faux fur comforter. They even provided floor length purple zebra bathrobes!

I am going to do two looks - one day and one evening. This is the casual, "I don't have to try hard to look good" look.
Baby Doll Tee, Target $12.99
Atoxic's Shorts
The shorts...perfect for trekking around during the day
Rainbow Flip Flops
No self-respecting Southerner would be without her Rainbow flip-flops :)
But if you want a little more dressy (and unique) look, here are some cute patent flip flops that could also be dressed up for night.

A long, long time ago my parents allowed me to take from their home an electric donut maker:
(this is post donut making)
I found this Pumpkin Bread mix at Trader Joe's:
Today I decided that it would be interesting to see if I could use the mix to make donuts (I have misplaced the booklet that goes with the donut maker that has the recipes in it- I have it but it is packed somewhere.) This is the result:
I coated them in cinnamon sugar. Let me tell you...they are AMAZING!!!!!
You can find a similar donut maker here:

I think it might make smaller donut but it is the closest thing I could find.

I was so inspired by bellakoko's cobweb look, I had to try it myself. It is taking a bit longer than I would have imagined, but I could not resist a few pictures the second I had anything to show. Hopefully I will be showing off the finished product this weekend.

My mom was sort of bummed out this morning which prompted me to start thinking of things I could put in a care package to cheer her up. While I was racking my brain for gift ideas all of a sudden I realized her BIRTHDAY IS ON THE 22ND and I have yet to get/send her anything!?? SONOFAB*TCH!!!!!

I found my new favorite city -- Brussels. Browsing through thrift stores and flea markets where anything seemed possible (how on earth did they get a giant carousel into the smallest shop on the street?), I was transported to another time. My outfit reflects the feeling, channeling a 1920s flapper vibe.
