Christina & Jordan Bratman Have a Boy (Max Liron Bratman)

Christina Aguilera and Jordan Bratman welcomed a baby boy on Saturday at 10:05 p.m., PEOPLE has confirmed exclusively.

This is the first child for the 27-year-old singer and her music executive husband.

“Christina and Jordan are proud to announce the birth of their son Max Liron Bratman. He is a beautiful, healthy baby boy!” a rep for the couple tells PEOPLE. “Mom is resting and doing well!”

Despite various media reports that Aguilera had her baby on Friday, Max – 6 lbs., 2 oz. and 20.5 inches – arrived late on Saturday night in L.A.

Although Aguilera didn’t announce gender of her baby while she was pregnant, she celebrated the bundle of joy’s pending arrival with a blue-themed baby shower in November. The singer, who was mum on her pregnancy for months despite rumors and a visible bump, officially confirmed she was expecting in November – eight weeks after Paris Hilton prematurely spilled the beans at the LAX nightclub in Las Vegas. “Congratulations to the most beautiful pregnant woman in the world. You’re gorgeous,” Hilton announced to a crowded room, stunning Aguilera and Bratman.

Later in November, Aguilera bared her growing belly on the cover of Marie Claire. In the article, she revealed that although she’d wanted to have a baby, it happened sooner than she’d expected, following a visit from Bratman while she was on tour last April.

“You’ve heard it takes some time – except with Power Egg and Super Sperm here,” she said. “I’m like, Oh my God, can you believe it just happened?”

Aguilera also addressed her silence on the matter in the earlier stages of her pregnancy, telling the magazine, “Because I hadn’t said anything, people thought I was trying to keep it this big, bad secret, and that’s not the case at all. I just wasn’t commenting. I’m not being like, ‘Hey, everybody, I’m pregnant!’ I’m not that girl.”

Married to Bratman since November 2005, Aguilera had babies on her mind back in July 2006, when she said on Britain’s GMTV morning show, “In five years’ time I’d probably like to start thinking about a child.” Now, she’s gotten her wish – just a little bit earlier than she expected.

The 28-year-old singer is keeping mum on many of the specifics of her upcoming album, but told A.P.E. radio station earlier this week, “I can’t let too much out the bag too soon. I just can’t, ‘cause I really want you guys to be surprised and to experience firsthand what I’m talking about or what I’m not talking too much about. Too soon in the game, but wrapping everything up now.”

She continued, “I think I’m most proud of this work than I’ve ever been, just because I worked with so many amazing and incredibly talented people. [Sia and I] did a lot of work on this record together, and she’s just a complete gem. She’s truly just such a talented force to be reckoned with. And I so enjoyed her company, and I think we really created some super crazy magic together. I got a chance to sort of write with Santigold, M.I.A., Lady Tron - artists that I really love.”

Christina Aguilera and her husband/baby-daddy Jordan Bratman are reportedly not doing so well after Jordan finally became fed up with Xtina's hard-partying ways.

Christina Aguilera, who was photographed partying recently during a "mommy, daddy night out", may be in trouble with her husband, who is "at his wits' end" with his wife's behavior.

A friend of the pair claims: "Jordan's sick to death of her partying, It's causing a huge strain on their marriage. He's at his wits' end and he doesn't know what to do."

Not only is Xtina partying too much - but she's also flirting with other men...sexually: "Christina was so smashed she started flirting with a couple of hot guys right in front of her husband. She was whispering with one guy and rubbing up against another!"

But according to Christina, she was behaving just fine.

"Once in a while, if I want to go out and have a mommy-daddy night with my husband, I am more than allowed to do that. I spend all day with my son. Everybody has an opinion and everybody sometimes wants to cause drama and be mean spirited. But it's something that comes with what you do and I learned that very early on," the singer contended.

At home in Aguilera and husband Jordan Bratman’s Mediterranean-style Los Angeles mansion, Max is a “sweet, mellow baby,” and not a big crier, says Mom. –

When he does get fussy, Aguilera sings softly to him. “I’m head over heels in love,” says Christina Aguilera of her new son, Max Liron Bratman, born Jan. 12. “I’m in awe of this little miracle.”

Aguilera’s favorite piece in the nursery is an 11-ft.-tall moon from her Back to Basics tour. “It was Jordan’s idea,” she says, to include it among the Paddington Bear doll and Nintendo figurines.

“The instant I heard his cry, the waterworks started,” Aguilera says of the birth via scheduled C-section. When they placed Max in her arms, “I said, ‘Hi, Papa, hi, my little angel’.”

“We keep it mellow,” says Bratman, with Aguilera, Max and pooches Scratchy, Stinky and bullmastiff Coco on their Balinese daybed. “We’re a pretty stress-free couple, and I think Max can tell.”

“Jordan is amazing – he’s a natural caretaker,” says the singer. “He’s so chill with the baby. I love the way we work as a team. I’m so happy to be going through this experience with him.”

Christina and Jordan’s Boy Gets His Bris

E! News has learned exclusively that new parents Christina Aguilera and Jordan Bratman held a bris, the Hebrew baby naming and circumcision ritual ceremony, at their Beverly Hills home Sunday.

More than a dozen family and friends attended the gathering. Jewish rituals aren’t new to the Bratman family. In 2005, the couple wed in a Jewish ceremony in Napa Valley, California.

A bris is typically done on a baby’s eighth day of life, and sure enough, son Max Liron was born Jan. 12. He came home from Cedars-Sinai Medical Center earlier this week.

The ceremony formalizes the child’s name; his middle name, Liron, means “my song” in Hebrew. Fittingly, Christina is “already singing to Max,” we’re told.

Here’s hoping his melody rings out for years to come.

On the whole Jewish thing-... Christina was raised a Catholic but started to practice as a Jew when she wed Jordan in Nov 2005. It were a traditional Jewish wedding and she has said in the past that she will raise her baby Jewish.Makes sense since she's practically converted. I think it's her and her husbands choice.Only they know what's best for their son.
P.S. -I read that most babies now a days are circumcised anyways as it is healthier for the male child. It reduces amounts of infections in infants.
