The cost of maintaining a home and appliances is often a major deterrent for those debating whether to rent or purchase a home. The unexpected expense of fixing leaky gutters and broken dishwashers can be budget breaking if it comes at the wrong time of month. Not to mention it's a huge pain.

Twitter switch for Guardian, after 188 years of ink
• Newspaper to be available only on messaging service
• Experts say any story can be told in 140 characters
Rio Palof
The Guardian, Wednesday 1 April 2009
Consolidating its position at the cutting edge of new media technology, the Guardian today announces that it will become the first newspaper in the world to be published exclusively via Twitter, the sensationally popular social networking service that has transformed online communication.
The move, described as "epochal" by media commentators, will see all Guardian content tailored to fit the format of Twitter's brief text messages, known as "tweets", which are limited to 140 characters each. Boosted by the involvement of celebrity "twitterers", such as Madonna, Britney Spears and Stephen Fry, Twitter's profile has surged in recent months, attracting more than 5m users who send, read and reply to tweets via the web or their mobile phones.

So, I was visiting friends in San Francisco recently, and I was struck by how they all refer to Mayor Gavin Newsom as just "Gavin." Like he's their friend, their pal. And how they all seemed to think it was kind of adorable that he is going to run for Governor (though the consensus is he has no chance of winning).

The widow of slain hip hop star Biggie Smalls, Faith Evans, has released a tell-all memoir about her life with the rapper called Keep the Faith. Gee, that’s original. Faith writes about her husband’s many infidelities, and says that her method of keeping him in line was to bust in on him while having sex with another woman and beating the crap out of her.

Sounds kinky, right? Well get your mind out of the gutter!
As I was working out tonight doing a strength move that was dancer-esque I realized a few things:
1) my workouts had gotten boring so I started to do a whole lot of new moves
2) I always wanted to be a dancer
3) the new moves I have been doing, are really quite dancer-ish
Once I realized it, I kept going for it, doing more strength moves I've seen in fitness magazines that took an element of dance to it, or grace, and went ahead and did it.
