Day One for Week One starting 1/7/2008

Here it is girls! The very first post from the book Becoming The Woman I Want To Be by:Donna Partow
Here are some things I think you should know, if you don't already know, if you have any health conditions, such as diabetes, consult your physician first. The diet part of this book does require fasting sometimes. The book recommends for you to not consume caffeine wile fasting. If possible eliminate caffeine a few days before fasting. If you feels head-achy, jittery, nausea or any other side effects, it's just your body detoxifying. You might want to eat a salad or steamed veggies the night before to jump-start the body-cleansing process. Eat healthy food a few days prior to the fast. It also suggests purchasing one of the forty-eight-hour diet juices for some(but not all) of your fasts. To lessen possible side effects.
You can consume a small amount of fresh veggie juices.
Drink at least one half gallon of water- preferably one gallon-per day. You can add fresh lemon or a small amount of cranberry juice(unsweetened) to your water.
If a complete fast is not possible, you may consider a partial fast. For example, fast from solids, restricting yourself to liquids such as protein shakes (my favorite brand is EAS Advantage Carb Control shakes, they are sold at Walmart, Target, usually in any grocery store in the supplement and diet aid aisle), fruit juice, soup, etc. Or you might fast from a favorite food group or favorite food. Sounds do-able.
If your doctor advises against fasting, then fast from something like TV, or telephone, music, reading etc. Just suggestions. In other words if fasting from food is not do-able for you, fast from something you love to do most for those days, and stick to it.
And remember, fasting can be hard to go through, whether it's from food or something else. But we are all here to support each other through this. And most importantly, the Lord understands your struggle. After all He sacrificed more than we can ever imagine giving up. That should be some encouragement.
So here it goes:
WEEK 1
Day one - 1/07/2008
Scripture to memorize:
May God himself, the God of peace, sanctify you through and through. May your whole spirit, soul and body be kept blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. The one who calls you is faithful and he will do it.
1 Thessalonians 5:23-24

Passage to read:
Out of the depths I cry to you, O Lord;
O Lord, hear my voice.
Let your ears be attentive
to my cry for mercy.
If you, O Lord, kept a record of sins,
O Lord, who could stand?
But with you there is forgiveness;
therefore you are feared.
I wait for the Lord, my soul waits,
and in his word I put my hope.
My soul waits for the Lord
more than watchmen wait for the morning,
more than watchmen wait for the morning.
Psalm 130:1-6

Guided Prayer:
Dear Lord, hear my voice. You know the weaknesses of my spirit, soul, and body. Today, once again, I realize my need for your mercy. Forgive me for neglecting myself. So often I have failed to cultivate my spirit by not spending time with you in prayer or in the study of your Word. I have allowed my mind to be filled with clutter. I have not trained my will to choose rightly but have instead lived by my impulses. Too often, my emotions have raged out of control, causing me to say and do things I alter regretted. My body bears witness that I have not always cared for it as I should. I have treated it like a trash can, rather than the temple of your Holy Spirit.
Lord, I know that if you were to keep record of all my sins, I could not stand before you. But with you, there is forgiveness. I thank you that, even as I confess these sins, you have removed them as far as the east is from the west. Praise you, Lord! I ask you now to sanctify my spirit, soul, and body, and I thank you that your Word says you will be faithful to fulfill all your good promises to me. ~Amen.

A prayer from your heart: ( here is where you write out your own prayer. Please do not skip this part. This is an opportunity for spiritual and personal growth. It is also a good practice to turn scripture into prayer)

Affirmation to recite:
I forget those things that are behind me, including all of my personal shortcomings in the area of spiritual disciplines, diet, and exercise. I am pressing toward what lies ahead: a bright future filled with health in my spirit, soul, and body.

Action to take:
Write out a list of twenty-five things you want to have, do, or be.
Fro example, you might want to be an awesome mother, have a mountain bike, and memorize the book of James (do). You don't need to have any certain number of items in each category. Don't over analyze. This is supposed to be from the gut. Writing down whatever pops into your head.

Attitude adjustment:
He has half the deed done who has made a beginning.
Horace
{Congratulations! Today you've made a start toward improving your spirit, soul, and body. You've moved one step closer toward becoming a Brand-New You!}

Diet:
* First thing this morning, drink an eight ounce cup of hot lemon juice. (Bring water almost to a boil. Place a quarter of a lemon in the water and allow to steep for a few minutes. Squeeze the lemon. Drink up. If a quarter of a lemon upsets your tummy, back down to an eighth)
* Take a good multivitamin and Ester-C
* Eat as many raw or steamed veggies as you can. (Example:Asparagus, Broccoli, Brussels Sprouts, cabbage, etc.) (eat in moderation: Bets, Corn, Peas, Potatoes, Yams)

Exercise:
* Bounce on your mini-trampoline for two to three minutes. (if you are like me you don't have a mini trampoline, and I am not about to go out and but one LOL, just do jumping jacks or jump rope for two to three minutes, just as effective)
*Walk briskly for fifteen minutes.

Here it is girls. For day one, starting tomorrow morning. Tomorrow night I will post day two. If you have any questions about this, just drop me a line. There is no fasting tomorrow. I will let you know ahead of time to prepare you for it. So don't freak out!!! LOL

I am here for you all for support, and will be following along right there with you.
God bless you all as we take this step forward together in improving ourselves, Spirit, Soul, and Body.

Love,
Your sister in Christ,
Susie

P.S. I would love to know which of you are joining me, so we can offer each other support.
Even if you aren't trying to lose weight, but just to improve yourself, join us. We can all use a little improvement!
Please let me know who is in!
I am in!!!

One Day at a Time

From: Starting Your Day Right Devotions
By : Joyce Meyers

                My God, my Rock, in Him will I take refuge;
my Shield and the Horn of my salvation; my
Stronghold and my Refuge, my Savior--
You save me from violence.

Trials can come like a freight train--one car after another, after another--but eventually the last car passes. When problems seem unceasing, remind yourself, "This too shall pass." Deal with one trial at a time in the power of the Holy Ghost until each series of events is over. God will give you fresh anointing daily to handle everything that comes into your life.
Each time you endure a tough day, you can sleep it off and start again the next day. So you may as well enjoy the tough days too, because God's favor is for a lifetime; weeping may endure for a night, but joy comes in the morning (see Psalm 30:5).

Interview: ‘The Runaways’ Stars Kristen Stewart And Dakota Fanning

In the new film The Runaways, Kristen Stewart and Dakota Fanning play Joan Jett and Cherie Currie, musical pioneers who broke down gender stereotypes as members of the eponymous band. A sex-charged rejoinder to the argument that men rock harder than women, Jett and Currie found their strength even as their producer and promoter, industry luminary Kim Fowley, took advantage of their youth and feminine appeal. Unlike the characters they play, however, Stewart and Fanning aren’t letting anyone exploit them, even if it’s in the guise of empowerment; the actresses have spent much of their careers redefining the limits of roles young actresses can play, and the women offer equally powerful turns in this film, proving that even a downbeat ending, such as the one that eventually befell The Runaways, can turn into triumph later on.

At a recent press day in Los Angeles, Cinematical spoke to Stewart and Fanning about both The Runaways and the exploits, both good and bad, of the band that inspired the film. In addition to talking about the influence the real women had on the way they played their characters, Fanning and Stewart reflected on their own process for playing different roles, and offered a few insights about acting against a seemingly unstoppable wall of analysis coming both from the public, and occasionally, from within themselves.

Cinematical: Cherie is trying to find herself throughout the film. I don’t know how much of the film was shot in sequence, but how much of the character did you have defined when you started shooting and how much did your development of the character take place throughout filming?
Dakota Fanning: I think I was pretty prepared before the movie started. Like I spent a lot of time with Cherie and I kind of knew where she was going to end up before I started. I kind of think that’s how movies are for me – I know beforehand what it’s going to be like, and it’s like reliving it again when you’re actually filming it. [But] the only thing that was shot in sequence I think was on my first day of shooting, the first scene of the movie. That was cool, to start out fresh.

Cinematical: Joan seems to just want to make music. Did that single-mindedness make it easy to know how to drive each scene forward?
Kristen Stewart: Well, I mean, yeah, at her core essentially that’s one thing that you notice about Joan, that she’s on a road and she’s got a goal – she’s on a mission. She never forgets that, but it doesn’t consume her; there’s so much more – I mean, the fact that she has that goal is who she is. It’s not just obtaining, you know what I mean? It comes from somewhere, and that’s more rich than just somebody who’s determined.

Cinematical: How much do you intellectualize the process of figuring out how to inject scenes with these themes or through-lines? Is it more important to be present or do you have to figure out the stakes of each scene before you act it out?
Fanning: I think for this one, when you’re playing an actual person, you should probably have it figured out beforehand. That’s how I felt. Because it’s like you’re taking someone’s life in your own hands, and it’s your responsibility to do them justice, especially because this time is so important to both Joan and Cherie. It’s one of the most treasured times of their lives, so I think it was kind of important to figure out before[hand]. One thing that sticks out that I did have to figure out on the day was [when] there’s a scene with me in the corset and I’m on the phone with my sister and Johnny [Lewis], he plays Scottie, he was in the background. I’m on the phone and Marie is saying you’re dad is sick, you need to come home, blah blah blah, and I had to figure out because it’s a very find line because Cherie loved her dad so much, and her sister, and if she had actually really heard them say ‘you need to come home’, she would have come home. So you had to figure out how drugged out is she, and that was a time when I had to figure it out to not make it something that Cherie wouldn’t have done.
Stewart: A number of things draw you to a script. It’s not just like wanting to live out this experience; sometimes it is thematic. But that’s not your job; people that you’re working with can keep that together, and you need to make sure that you do everything you can to do your part. And also, playing another person, I had like a constant resource, so we were never filling in blanks. We were never going, ‘oh, I think maybe at this point, she would be…’ [because] we’d already asked what they were thinking or what that may have meant. Anything that was up for deliberation wasn’t because we had them there, so it was a different experience because it wasn’t creating a new thing. But in terms of intellectualizing acting, you have to do it a little bit, but I feel way more than I think, and I think that’s good for an actor. I mean, even if you have really good ideas about things, you have to sort of think about them and digest them and turn them out so you’re more able to just be there.

Cinematical: It is fair to say we think a lot more about all the tiny little choices you make that you make than you do?
Stewart: I mean, I’m so obsessed with little details, but they’re not conscious. I’m obsessed with like the little things [Dakota] does, and she may not be conscious of what she’s doing, but it’s because she know this person so well. So I’ll be like, oh my God – did you notice that you just did that? And you should never tell an actor that, because they don’t know, but they’re doing it for a reason. Because she’s not Dakota when she’s doing stuff like that, so it’s not like it means nothing. It’s definitely coming from somewhere but hopefully she’s not thinking about it. Because the only reason she’s able to do it is because she’s not thinking about it.

Cinematical: Does over-analysis become an obstacle for you, especially in a day where every aspect of your work and lives is constantly examined and deconstructed?
Stewart: It seems like when it does, it gets in the way, that’s a problem. Because when things are going well, you don’t.
Fanning: I’ve been saying this a lot, but even acting for me is something that when you just know the person [you're playing], I can be thinking about so many other things in my head and doing it because you are that person in that moment. If you think about it, that’s not good.

Cinematical: Do you feel a sense of responsibility or do you need to feel a sense of responsibility to the young viewers that might be seeing this film? How do you make sure that your portrayal of a character is as authentic as possible and yet doesn’t present something that might negatively influence impressionable audiences?
Fanning: I think this is a different thing because it’s a real life, a real story, and this happened. So I don’t know if you can really think about people coming to see it because they’re choosing to come to see something that’s a difficult time in their life, and that’s why there are ratings. I mean, maybe you can think about it when it’s an original screenplay or something, but it’s based on actual events, and if you’re not being authentic to that then you might as well not make the film, I feel like.
Stewart: and if you’re looking at details that make these women bad examples for people, then you’re not going to ever choose the right role model.
Fanning: Well, it’s not about Cherie being a bad person because she does drugs. It’s about seeing that because she did drugs, she saw that she was becoming a bad person and she made the choice to not be that bad person by leaving the band, and now she is who she is today. So if you can’t realize that then maybe you shouldn’t be seeing the movie.
Stewart: Plus, actors as role models, I think a lot of girls have role models that they don’t want to emulate specifically, but just that they are who they are. I mean, I really admire Joan for being who she is and not making excuses for it, but I don’t want to wear leather all day, know what I mean? So I think just who she is essentially is something to look up to, and not everyone is completely perfect.
Fanning: I also think sometimes it’s different with actors because I think you’re more of a role model in your real life as opposed to who you’re playing.
Stewart: Who you play! Yeah, exactly.

Cinematical: Ultimately why do you think this story is important, and why was it important for this story to be told now?
Stewart: I think this would always be sort of topical just because, for one thing, I didn’t know about The Runaways, neither did Dakota, and I don’t think a lot of people our age do. Why is it relevant right now? Because, well, I was really inspired by it; we don’t face the things that they faced at that time, so to know that things are a little different now. So to know that maybe they were a help in that is an interesting thing, and just to see a different perspective on an adolescent girl’s life is probably interesting for any young girl. And, people that age then are now 50, Joan’s age, and it’s cool for them to see that too so that now people who watch movies can see their childhood or whatever on screen.

The Poodle Gets Kicked

by Patrick J. Buchanan
03/16/2010

Actually, Joe set himself up. From the moment he set foot on Israeli soil, our vice president was in full pander mode.

First, he headed to Yad Vashem memorial, where he put on a yarmulke and declared Israel "a central bolt in our existence."

"For world Jewry," Joe went on, presumably including 5 million Americans, "Israel is the heart. ... Israel is the light. ... Israel is the hope."

Meeting Shimon Peres the next day, Joe confessed that when he first visited at age 29, "Israel captured my heart."

In Peres' guestbook, he wrote, "The bond between our two nations has been and remains unshakeable."

As Peres spoke, Biden took notes. When Peres called him "a friend," Joe gushed, "It's good to be home."

Walking around the corner to Prime Minister Netanyahu's office, Joe called him by his nickname, "Bibi," declared him a "real" friend and said the U.S. relationship with Israel "has been and will continue to be the centerpiece of our policy."

Interior Minister Eli Yishai announced construction of 1,600 new apartment units in Arab East Jerusalem. Stunned and humiliated, Biden issued a statement saying he "condemned" the decision.

Netanyahu has apologized for the timing, but they are going ahead with the apartments. What are the Americans going to do about it? At this point, nothing but bluster.

On his departure for Jordan, Ha'aretz reported that Israel plans to build 50,000 new homes in East Jerusalem over the next few years.

Consider also the most remarkable statement of Biden's first 24 hours.

Biden is saying we are a more effective force for Mideast peace in a region where Arabs outnumber Israelis 50 to one if everyone knows we sing from the same song sheet as Israel and have no policy independent of Israel's.

Even with the closest ally in our history, Britain in World War II, there was space between Winston Churchill and FDR on where to invade -- North Africa, Italy, France, the Balkans? -- whether to beat Stalin to Berlin, Prague and Vienna, who should be supreme allied commander, even whether the British Empire should survive.

Ehud Olmert did not consult President-elect Obama on whether to launch a war on Gaza and kill 1,400 Palestinians. Nor did Netanyahu consult us before Mossad took down the Hamas minister in Dubai.

If they are, we will end up with all of Israel's enemies, who are legion, and only Israel's friends, who are few.

Mini Incentive Charts!

These are mini incentive charts. The way I use them with my 4 1/2 year old, she gets two stickers if she's good all day, she gets one sticker if she either gets a time-out or seriously acts up, and she gets zero stickers if she gets time-out or acts up two times or more. When her chart is full, she gets a treat, like a small toy or an ice cream cone. I like these because they give her and me a chance to sit down and talk about her behavior throughout the day. She also has a goal to work for, and can clearly see her own progress day-by-day.

Teachers usually buy them for school use; they generally come in class-packs of 36, so whatever style you choose, you're going to be stuck with for a while. I unwisely got her snowman-themed charts and snowflake stickers, so I'm going to be staring at frosty for the next six months at least... A pack only costs about $3.50, plus another $1 or $2 for the little stickers. Make sure your get the MINI ones, there are large class size wall incentive charts. Some parents swear by the wall size ones, but I think those ones are unstylish and impractical for home use.

There are many companies who make these; my two favorites are Trend and Teacher Created Resources. The only place I know to find them is at teacher supply stores, or to order online. These links go directly to the company's incentive chart inventory:

For Trend brand:
http://www.trendenterprises.com/product_searchresults_New.cfm?Keywords=m...

For Teacher Created Resources:
http://www.buyteachercreated.com/estore/search/searchResults?WHICH_FORM=...

If you want to see some close up; they're about 4 inches by 6 inches:

This is that class-size one I was talking about; they're usually about 18 inches by 24 inches:

Review by The Herald: Remember Me not just an ordinary love story

Forget what you may have heard about the film “Remember Me.”

Yes, the story does include Tyler Hawkins (Robert Pattinson’s character) meeting Ally Craig (played by Emilie de Ravin).

Ally is a quirky girl who prefers to eat dessert before the entrée in the small chance that an asteroid hits Earth (or some other disaster) and she misses out on the one part of the meal that she wanted.

Tyler is an introspective character who sees the world as right and wrong. He isn’t necessarily right in how he accomplishes things, but he seems to know that.

While the trailers for “Remember Me” make it out to be a stereotypical love story, it is much more than that.

The plot is a deep and twisted tunnel that ends in what many viewers consider a controversial slap to the face.

There are sappy moments between Ally and Tyler, but don’t be fooled-the backbone of the film is relationships in general.

There’s the relationship between Tyler and his father (Pierce Brosnan), Ally’s relationship with her father (Chris Cooper), and a personal favorite, Tyler and his sister, Caroline (Ruby Jerins).

The sibling bond between Caroline and Tyler is one of the driving forces of this movie.

Through their conversations, the viewer gets to know most of the other characters and what they’ve all been through together.

Jerins is a skilled actress for someone of her age, and it will be interesting to see what becomes of her through the years.

This is a fast-paced film with great character development and is visually appealing.

It was directed by Allen Coulter and shot in New York, and the urban grit of the city is a primary character in the story line.

Overall, this is a must-see movie.

It is an emotional roller coaster, and most definitely is not family friendly, but it was more than worth the ticket price.

There aren’t many films these days that are impactful, but this one is.

Many fans are comparing it to the “Twilight Saga” simply because of the Robert Pattinson connection.

Take it from a “Twilight” fan: this is NOT “Twilight.” At all.

Despite being a well-made and intriguing movie, sadly, Remember Me only made $8 million opening weekend, which in the box office world, isn’t very successful.

The Runaways with Self Magazine

In the ’70s, The Runaways–the first all-girl American rock band–shattered rock ‘n’ roll stereotypes and inspired their peers to follow their dreams. Now, a new era of stars inspires their generation by re-telling an old story.
„I don’t think a lot of people know what options the first all-female rock ‘n’ roll band had,“ Kristen Stewart told SELF during an interview in New York earlier this week. „A lot of girls don’t realize there was a time when you couldn’t do something, like you really couldn’t do that [be in a band]–it was unexpected and looked down upon. We’ve grown up thinking we can be happy and do whatever we want, but back in the day, in terms of attitude and being who you are just personally, you used to not be able to be.“
The movie, which focus on the relationship between edgy punk-rocker Joan Jett and Bowie-obsessed Bardot lookalike Cherie Curie, is as much a raw, gritty look at the L.A. rock scene as it is a cautionary coming-of-age tale. As Jett, Kristen Stewart has found an outlet for all the buttoned-up angst of the Twilight franchise–from her jet-black hair to rough voice, she channels the musician’s nervous energy and fierce passion to make her dream a reality to a tee. Dakota Fanning plays her counterpart, the 15-year-old Curie who, after being plucked from the roller-rink crowd, goes from sex kitten to drug addict seemingly overnight. The chemistry between the two actresses is as electric as their eyeliner.

So who inspires these stars? „My mom,“ Fanning told us. „She’s my best friend and with me every day from when I started up until now. My mom actually read [the script] first and told me I needed to read it. My parents know this is something I want to do forever, and they understand and support me.“
„I’ve grown up with really strong women, so definitely my mom,“ Stewart agreed. „I haven’t had that many role models, but Joan has become one.“
Having the opportunity to actually work with the real people their characters were based on was also an inspiring experience for both of the actresses.
„I guess in a way it’s easier to play characters that are whole and complete, real people,“ said Fanning. „You’re not playing this figure or person that somebody make up. You’re actually doing something real. But at the same time, when you know a person, everything changes your perception of it. But as long as they feel real to you, it doesn’t matter if they are or not.“
But singing in front of those „real people“? “It was never something that was easy,“ Stewart told us. „You don’t know if you can do something until you do it, and we don’t rehearse a whole lot so it didn’t feel real until it really was the real deal. When we did ‘Cherry Bomb,’ I couldn’t bring myself to hold the guitar right. Joan was there and I thought she was mad at me or something and thinking oh my god, you did horrible. And then it ended up being great.“ As for Fanning, „You have the responsibility of singing like Cherie Curie, singing a song like ‘Cherry Bomb’ that’s so iconic to so many people. It was completely intimidating!“
Last night, The Runaways stars–including Stewart, Fanning, Jett, Curie, Michael Shannon, Riley Keough, director Floria Sigismondi–arrived in New York City to celebrate the premiere at Soho’s Sunshine Cinema. Also in attendance: today’s inspiring female celebs, including Kirstie Alley, Victoria’s Secret model Alessandra Ambrosio, Life Unexpected star Shiri Appleby, Blondie’s Debbie Harry and Chloe Sevigny.

Celebrity Trainer Harley Pasternak Dishes About Food

Harley Pasternak says that if you follow his 5 Factor diet, you will see results. First, eat five times a day: two meals and three snacks. Next, everything you eat should have five components: lean protein, low glycemic carbs, healthy fats, fiber, and a sugar-free beverage. And to keep it real, there's a cheat day once a week.

The in-demand trainer recently came out with a new book - the 5 Factor World Diet - that draws on lessons learned from constant travel. Harley selected 10 countries with the lowest obesity rates and highest life expectancies and studied what they eat, how they eat, and how they burn it off. Although busy bopping between clients, Harley took some time out of his day to talk all things food: what you should be eating, why fresh food isn't always better, and yes, even he has a cheat food.

To see the interview, read more.

FitSugar: Your latest book, The 5 Factor World Diet, is based on the insights you’ve gained while traveling. What are some healthy eating tips you’ve picked up from other countries?
Harley Pasternak: I saw a lot of fish - not beef - in the healthiest countries, and whole grains, vegetable, and whole soy - especially in Okinawa where everyone is 100 years old. In Sweden, sandwiches are made with one piece of bread, not two - it’s always always an open-faced sandwich. Physical activity is very much tied to meals too. In Italy they have something called a "pasa giatta," and when the meal ends they all get up and go for a walk together. And in other parts of the world they go grocery shopping every day, so you’re basically burning off half the meal to pick up ingredients, and when you’re preparing your food, you have more control over what you put into it.

FS: What advice do you have for people who can’t walk to pick up fresh food because the nearest market is 30 miles away?
HP: I’m a big fan of frozen food and canned food. I know that’s not what we’re used to hearing but frozen and canned food can be as healthy, if not healthier than fresh counterpart options. Fresh produce is not the end-all be-all - when I make smoothies I almost always use frozen fruits, and when I make soups I often use frozen vegetables. You can use canned beans and frozen vegetables for dips as well. Also, don’t be afraid of canned fish, canned salmon, canned tuna, and frozen seafood like shrimp cocktail. It’s another great way to get seafood into your diet, if you can't get fresh.

FS: What are some of your favorite meals from the 5 Factor World Diet?
HP: Gosh, there are so many. As I wrote the World Diet book, I was looking abroad for some good fiber recipes and fell in love with Japanese food like soba noodles. I also love the idea of ceviche. Going to Spain and learning to make ceviche was great. It's absolutely foolproof, even for someone who has no idea how to cook.

FS: What about snacks - especially when you’re on the go?
HP: Snacks - as should a meal - [should] have a lowfat protein and a fibrous carbohydrate. I tell my clients to grab some plain nonfat Greek yogurt and some frozen berries and mix that together. Soy snacks are great too: edamame, Soy Joy bars, and soy milk are all great. I often make a dip out of nonfat Greek yogurt and natural peanut butter for protein and calcium. It’s 1:2 ratio of peanut butter to yogurt and it’s delicious with apples or pears.

FS: Now that you’ve brought up fruit, one of our readers wants to know why there are no grapes or bananas on the 5-Factor Diet?
HP: No one is going to live a shorter life if they have bananas or grapes, however there are much, much healthier fruits. I try and tell my clients to choose those fruits over others. I tell my clients to stick to fruits that either have edible skin, edible seeds, or citrus - bananas do not have edible skin, nor do they have edible seeds really, nor is it citrus. Most of the fiber and nutrients that are in a fruit are in a fruit’s skin. A banana is just the densest piece of fruit that you can put in your body, and since it doesn’t have fiber, it won’t keep you full. It’s kind of a shame to have a fruit with no fiber.

Grapes are an exception to the rule because they have a special sugar in them called dextrose, which is the highest glycemic sugar that you can possibly put in your body. They actually make grape pills for diabetics so that they don’t become low.

FS: Are there any foods that you think people should avoid, even on their cheat days?
HP: Absolutely no, not at all. Life is short and you have to enjoy it, and you should indulge when it’s time to indulge. At some point, I think everyone should eat everything at least once.

FS: And what’s your cheat food?
HP: My cheat food? That’s easy, it’s chocolate chip cookies. I’m the biggest chocolate chip cookie freak in the world.

FS: And do you give yourself some cookies every week?
HP: At least every week.

To get a taste of Harley's diet, try his recipe for five-spice halibut. It's tasty and easy to make.

No sign of them here, as everyone appears to be running off dollar signs.

So how do you rein in a spoiled child? Michael's theory is to withhold (read: literally hide, as in a scavenger hunt) expensive sales leads to regain his authority - which, of course, goes wrong. The episode has a few funny exchanges worth mentioning, although overall, I found the storyline to just be okay. Check out the quotes I liked, and then add your favorites in the comments!

Michael: "Screw you, Halpert. You know, it's not easy getting excited about stuff. You know how you felt when you thought you had seen Roger Clemens."
Jim: "At the Yankees game, yeah."
Michael: "Well, it wasn't him."
Jim: "I have better reason to believe that...you're right. You're right. Well, you're not right, because Johnny Depp in your condo complex?"
Michael: "I know. It also explains why the name on his mailbox was M. Shyamalan."
Jim: "M. Night Shymalan?"
Michael thinks he sees Johnny Depp in his apartment complex - which is, of course, ridiculous, as Jim is the first to point out. Really, Michael, Johnny Depp? Jim is usually right about most things, so perhaps you want to believe him on this one.

For more fun lines, read more.

"Salesman is king. As the best salesman, I am king of kings. Oh, you say Jesus is king of kings. Well, what does that say to you about how I think about myself?"-Dwight
Dwight will stop at nothing to get his hands on the expensive sales leads, even if it means, say, going to the landfill to search for a needle in a haystack (the so-called "needle" being one lead's info). I have to say that the fake green screen/backdrop for the landfill is incredibly obvious, but I was still entertained by watching Michael and Dwight get into a lovers' quarrel, which doesn't happen every day. Even watching them kick around the giant-sized spool was worth a chuckle or two.

Kelly: "You know, maybe if the salesmen weren't acting like a bunch of stuck up losers, maybe this day wouldn't be so bad. Did you ever think of that?"
Jim: "I have new baby pictures."
Kelly: "Don't use your cute baby to make us like you."
Jim: "She was wearing a onesie."
Jim tries to ease relations between his sales side and the rest of the office (in this case, Kelly and Oscar), but it appears the damage has already been done. Don't you hate it when people use their child against you? Evil, Jim. Not that Jim is totally to blame; I'd bet that onesie is pretty cute.

Michael: "You know what I should have been doing? I should have been out at bars, finding my soulmate, finding my wife, making babies."
Dwight: "Nice babies you're making with the floosies at the bars."
Michael: "That's my wife you're talking about, man!"
Dwight: "Your made-up wife who doesn't exist?"
The verbal brawl between Dwight and Michael at the dumpster continues, with Michael coming up with excuses for why he hasn't settled down yet. The two eventually make up (thanks in part to a giant old beanbag chair), but the whole back-and-forth raised a semi-interesting point - will Michael ever get married? What do you think?

Here's the video of their argument, so you can enjoy it a second time:
