Photographer Todd Selby recently shot the home of Stefano Tonchi, the editor of The New York Times's style glossy T Magazine, and I am completely envious of the little reading nook in his living room. With two big wing chairs and a small side table beside jam-packed, floor-to-ceiling, built-in bookshelves, it's the ideal place to cozy up with a good read. Crave Worthy: Sunflower Zebra Chair
While I do think the zebra trend is pretty played out at this point, and I'm certainly not keen on animal hide rugs, I find myself pleasantly surprised by the Horchow Sunflower Zebra Chair ($2,199). Not only does the winged accent chair look super comfortable and have great lines, but it's incredibly cheerful in its sunny zebra pattern. And you know how I love nailhead trim.
Chairs That Became Art
Earlier this year, I went to an exhibit at Johansson Projects called Excavations. This gallery show featured an exhibition of landscapes that attempted to blur the typical boundaries between nature and artifice. Eight artists participated in the show, including artist Yvette Molina, and displayed everything from nature-based paintings to ceramic branches that sprouted out of walls.
