I've never been so excited for Spring - HBO released a two-minute teaser trailer of Game of Thrones season two yesterday, and it not only shows some of the Ireland beach scene we got a glimpse of earlier this year, but shows off some new characters as well. See the entire clip below, and get ready for a big Spring - Hunger Games and Game of Thrones? It can't get any better, can it?

Swords Are Swinging in Felicia Day's Dragon Age: Redemption

Even if you're not a fan of the Dragon Age franchise, you're probably going to want to catch one of our favorite geeks, Felicia Day, in her latest web series. Since unleashing the World of Warcraft-themed web show The Guild (and making a few awesome music videos), Felicia is continuing her web/video game entertainment series' domination with six-part Dragon Age: Redemption.

Kicking off this Summer, the series follows Felicia as Tallis, an Elven assassin, as she embarks on a quest to track down a dangerous mage during the same time period as Dragon Age II (which hits consoles on Mar. 8). There's not a whole lot to see in the trailer just yet (the agony!), but if you're a fan of Felicia Day (and why wouldn't you be?), it's worth checking out.

Home Away From Home: El Cosmico

The small Southwestern town of Marfa, TX, may be just a dot on the map, but it has plenty to offer. Home to a vast collection of works and installations by renowned artist Donald Judd (who moved there in 1971) and a breadth of new gallery spaces, it is a destination for minimalism and modernism enthusiasts. It is also perhaps most famous for the Marfa lights, unexplained, spheric lights seen on clear nights since the 1800s.

If you're hoping to make a trip to the American town, you won't find much in the way of hotels, but El Cosmico is all you need. The very unique home away from home offers a choice of beautifully restored vintage trailers, yurts, tepees, or tents. If you've got money to burn, you can stay in a 1950 Branstrator Trailer with full bed, toilet, outdoor tub, and cedar deck for $90/night or a 1956 Imperial Mansion with king bed, twin bed, toilet, shower/tub, and cedar deck for $125/night. For a more affordable option, you can sleep in a 115-square-foot yurt with bamboo floors, weatherproof fabric walls, queen size futons, and lantern lighting for $60. Or perhaps a tepee with a king-sized futon bed and a fire pit is more your style; rates are $75/night. Really pinching pennies? Try a tent for only $20/night. In addition to your unusual "hotel suite," El Cosmico has a bath house, dutch tubs, a hammock grove, a shared outdoor kitchen, picnic tables, Public Bikes, and wireless Internet for you to use. Sounds like a recipe for a relaxing, low-key vacation with plenty of great conversation.

Etsy Finds: Hit the Road, Jack

The Airstream has been around since the early '30s, when Wally Byam began building trailers in his backyard. Since that time, various models have come and gone, but the classic shape has influenced countless artists, crafters, and wanderlust-struck citizens in general. I'm a huge fan of the classic Airstream shape, so I thought I'd see what I could find from artists and crafters who were also inspired by the Airstream.

Movie Preview: Slumdog Millionaire

Slumdog Millionaire, directed by the same guy responsible for Trainspotting and 28 Days Later, Danny Boyle, is receiving rave reviews (to put it mildly) that include:

This nice statement from the Wall Street Journal: "There's never been anything like this densely detailed phantasmagoria - groundbreaking in substance, damned near earth-shaking in style."
And this one from Time: "A buoyant hymn to life, and a movie to celebrate."
And this one from Variety: "As drama and as a look at a country increasingly entering the world spotlight, Slumdog Millionaire is a vital piece of work by an outsider who's clearly connected with the place."

Impressive, right? The film has been making the festival rounds for some time now and slowly generating a lot of buzz - even that of the Oscar variety. I'm totally intrigued by this story of an "18-year-old orphan from the slums of Mumbai, who is about to experience the biggest day of his life. With the whole nation watching, he is just one question away from winning a staggering 20 million rupees on India's Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?. But when the show breaks for the night, police arrest him on suspicion of cheating; how could a street kid know so much?"

Coveted Crib: Marcia Cross's Glamorous Trailer

Marcia Cross has officially rescued the term "trailer" from any negative connotations traditionally associated with it. Her trailer on the set of Desperate Housewives has been infused with chocolate and aqua velvet, mirrored furniture, and button tufting by Los Angeles-based interior designer David Brian Sanders. Before and After: Trailer Renovation

I love classic aluminum trailers. There's something so classy about their shape and design. Recently I stumbled upon Vintage Vacations, a business that restores and sells vintage trailers. To get an idea of what the company does, take a look at these before pictures of a 1946 Spartan trailer.

Dad Pad: Trailer Getaway

Men love their getaways. My fiancé dreams about his future man cave, my grandfather had his carpentry shop, and my brother has his cabin in the woods. And then there's my father, who spends much of his free time in an aluminum midcentury trailer in the middle of the forest. The trailer - which he's named Old Roy - is a classic Airstream knockoff, and he's done a great job of renovating it in smart ways. He's retiled the floor with stone tiles and built retractable sleeping and sitting areas with sustainably harvested wood. However, he's also stubbornly clung to the idea that taxidermied fish and Hudson Bay blankets can complete the look of this place. He's definitely outfitted the trailer to reflect his needs; there are fly rods that hang from the ceiling and a designated space to store extra linens in case he has visitors. While I love the sentiment behind some of the quirky touches - the felted bee lights reflect his beekeeping hobby - there's just not a lot of continuity going on here.

This place has a tremendous amount of potential, but it needs a little shaping (which I think is the case for most man pads). And I'd love to hear any of your ideas on how to shape it to maintain both its utilitarian function while giving it some decorating continuity. Crave Worthy: Design Within Reach Airstream Trailer

Although I don't suspect most of you are hunting for an Airstream trailer, I had to share this Design Within Reach model ($49,066) because there's no other way to describe it than Crave Worthy.

In 2000, architect-designer Chris Deam gutted a vintage trailer to create a booth for the International Contemporary Furniture Fair, and DWR contacted Deam about creating a special edition trailer for their customers. The result is a 100% outfitted vehicle, with a light and airy interior made of the most durable materials. DWR equipped the galley with top-notch amenities like an Elkay faucet, recessed halogen lights, eco-friendly flooring, glossy overhead lockers, custom aluminum window treatments, and a Sony sound system. It is also dressed with modern DWR décor accents like a Nelson ball clock ($300), Heller dinnerware ($60), a Tom Dixon Wire Coatrack ($300), and Tripolina chairs ($400).

Even the most steadfast indoorswoman can appreciate the beauty of this updated icon. It could be a perfect hideaway from a busy life, stationary or on the road—if you can afford it.

Yet Another Awesome Spider-Man 3 Trailer

It's a good thing that Spider-Man 3 looks like it's going to kick ass, because after all this build-up, the movie has a lot of hype to live up to. I already told you guys about the trailer that premiered during "Heroes," but now everyone is excited about the even newer (and final) version that just hit theaters.
