Crave Worthy Creations member HannahNicole is throwing activism to the wind in favor of a sheepskin throw:

The animal activist inside me is screaming "No!" - but regardless, I'm absolutely in love with this sheepskin ($449, originally $899). It would be the perfect home accent when I'm cozy by the fireplace, so soft and plush. I know it's wrong, but I can't help it. I'll take one for Christmas, please.

How Much Would You Spend on a Throw?

I'm not much of an animal-print person, but for some reason I'm really drawn to these Williams-Sonoma Home Safari Printed Cashmere Throws ($268, reduced from $368). While its luxurious cashmere and wool blend may be cause for its high price tag, that doesn't mean I'll actually be buying it. I think my max has to be $200 for a really, really lovely throw. What's yours?

After reading my Decorating With Cozy Fall Throws slideshow, one reader wrote in saying, "I am in love with this room and want to know where everything is from, particularly the pillows and the artwork." You know me, I love to help you all "get the look," so here we go!

The success of this room is driven by the mix of pink and red textiles, including cushions, a throw, and a floormat. Those particular cushions are from Designers Guild but are no longer available. The artwork is from Pimpernel & Partners in London, but you can easily find similar artwork by searching "vintage floral paintings" on Etsy or eBay. Roundup: Yummy Summer Throws

I spotted this delicious Crocheted Throw ($98) at FCL Style in one of my favorite colors, Wasabi, and I couldn't help but think of all the Summer nights I've spent shivering on a porch or deck somewhere. You know those nights: the sun goes down and suddenly you find yourself with goosebumps and half a cold cheeseburger left on your plate, and all you need is a cozy, colorful throw to keep you listening to the crickets for hours. Love It or Hate It? Yellow Throw

I spotted this yellow throw in the portfolio of Dutch designer Piet Boon and I'm pretty intrigued by it. Intrigued and undecided. It's definitely eye-catching and it gives this pared down room some oomph, but I can't imagine that it actually functions as a blanket, with holes that big. It also reminds me a bit of those orange plastic barricades you see around construction sites.Source

Desire/Acquire: Warm Wool Throws

Nothing's cozier on a Winter evening than cuddling up under a cozy throw on your sofa. I love this Gump's Sweater Knit Throw ($325), which resembles your boyfriend's oversized sweater, and whose handknit cables give it an extra touch of authenticity. It's a great color and looks silky, but it's an acrylic/wool/poly blend, which is not my favorite cuddling fabric combination. And that price tag is a bit of a turn off.

Available in a soothing feather gray or oatmeal heater hues, the Lutz & Patmos Cable Throw ($89) is about the same size as the Sweater Knit Throw, but a fraction of the price. Available through West Elm and designed by luxury sweater and knitwear designers Tina Lutz and Marcia Patmos, this textural cable knit is pretty, cozy, and a much more sophisticated home accent than the higher-priced throw. While it's still a blend of acrylic and wool fibers, I'm willing to overlook that fabric faux pas, given the throw's great price and dashing good looks.

Gift Guide: The Cozy Cuddler

I have a tendency to want to hibernate a little when Winter rolls around, so out come the blankets and the comfy throw pillows. I love spending a snowy day curled up under a blanket with a mug of tea and a good DVD.

I loved the deep purple color of the Laguna blanQuette, as well as the paisley pattern (see photo) imprinted on the plush organic cotton and bamboo threads. The white piping outlining the blanQuette also nicely framed the throw. I was impressed by the plushness of this product.

While it is an unusual, unexpected choice as a throw, this makes it perfect for home decorators who are looking to add a punch of color and interest to a room. I definitely think this would be a great accessory for a beach cottage, ski chalet, or other vacation home. Its lively color and unusual texture makes it perfect for these destinations. My only concern about the product was the smell of the blanQuette when I first received it - even though this is an organic product, it had a strong chemical scent. I immediately washed the blanQuette with some Ecover, and the smell disappeared. I can also say that even with line drying, the blanQuette seemed soft, which is definitely impressive. Overall, I'd definitely recommend the blanQuette for home decorators interested in integrating an eco-friendly, unexpected element into their homes.
