A chic throw pillow will give an instant face-lift to even the shabbiest of sofas and chairs. At the same time, you can easily swap out your throw pillows to give your seating a whole new look. As it turns out, you can snag plenty of decorative pillows made from luxurious designer fabrics on Etsy.

There's no shortage of patterned pillows in the world to love, so where do you draw the line? As someone who is drawn to color and pattern, I've always struggled with this. But, I think the answer is simple: go neutral.

I have a tendency to want to hibernate a little when Winter rolls around, so out come the blankets and the comfy throw pillows. I love spending a snowy day curled up under a blanket with a mug of tea and a good DVD.
I'm sure I'm not the only one who indulges in some wintertime hibernating, so if you have someone in your life who's known for cozying up on the couch, give them what they want: more ways to get cozy!

While I do understand that wide belts have been "in" for the last couple of years, I don't think I'd want one "in" my home, particularly on a pillow like this. For those of you who don't speak French, this Z Gallerie Mode Pillow is named "Mode" because that word means "in fashion." Do you think belted pillows are fashionable?

I used to live around the corner from Rose and Radish, so I'm glad the gallery/boutique/flower shop is becoming a major presence online. The physical store is a showcase for constantly revolving pieces: Every three months, Rose and Radish choses a different theme (such as "round" or "tea time") and curates a collection based on the theme.
If you're ever in San Francisco, I encourage you to stop by; the floral designs, in particular, are a must-see.

In case you hadn't noticed, people are totally crazy for cupcakes right now: eating them, wearing them, and constructing them into wedding cakes.
But what most tempts my sweet tooth are all of the adorable cupcake-motif home items available, from subtle cake-shaped votive candle holders to pillows that look good enough to eat. Here are some of my favorite accessories to add some sugary style to your home.

This Dwell Studio Border Throw Pillow ($19.99) is not only bold, minimalist, and classic, but a steal as well! Available in several colors (light blue, red, gray), and made of cotton twill with velvet piping, it's a perfect accent for the sofa, chair, or bed in your home that needs a little perk. Its design is fairly traditional, but its simple stripes would fit a contemporary interior equally well.

Sometimes all a girl needs to put a little spring in her step at home is a snappy new throw pillow. The Dragonflower Babysilk Throw Pillow ($156), new at Decorati, would certainly do the trick for this girl. Made of embroidered babysilk, which is similar to linen but with a shine.
