Get the Look: The Break-Up

I have to admit that my favorite parts of the 2006 film The Break-Up had less to do with the plot line and more to do with Vince Vaughn and Jennifer Aniston's gorgeous Chicago condo. Since Aniston's character is an art dealer, the movie is also chock full of great art. Check out my ideas for getting the look of the film.

If you haven't yet seen the Jennifer Aniston and Vince Vaughn vehicle The Break-Up, you can download the movie on Amazon for a song. For just $3.99, you get a digital version of the movie that you can watch on your PC or TV. Technically, this is just a "rental," which means that you can only store the file for up to 30 days, at which point it will expire. This isn't exactly an instant classic I'd want to buy and keep, but I love the idea of virtually renting the flick during my holiday downtime. It would also make a fun little gift.

If you've been reading Fabsugar for a while, you know I'm somewhat obsessed with Jennifer Aniston's fabulous wardrobe in The Break-Up, which you can read all about here. Now, after a long search, we've finally found out who makes the amazing white trench she wears at the end of the movie. It's yet another incredible piece from Calvin Klein Collection. I am sorry to report, though, that this coat is unavailable for public purchase; it was made especially for Jen for this movie. However, this Cole Haan Belted Coat, available for $895 here should be a good alternative.

Safe House: A Standout Thriller

While working for the CIA may seem like a dream job, Matt Weston's (Ryan Reynolds) current position at a Safe House is certainly no picnic. He's a new agent, stationed alone in South Africa, waiting for the chance that he will have a "house guest" (someone who is taken prisoner by the CIA.) Matt's desperately trying to get some field experience so he can be stationed in some other city where he can see a little action. After a year of boredom, his wish comes true when Tobin Frost (Denzel Washington) arrives.

I was constantly on the edge of my seat throughout the film, and felt everyone in the theater being equally enraptured with what was unraveling before our eyes. Safe House has high-stakes moments cut with sardonic, nonchalant comedy that Reynolds and Washington both pull off nicely. I felt connected to everyone's struggles, but the plot kept me unsure if I wanted the good guy or the bad guy to come out on top. No Headphones? 5 Ways to Entertain Yourself on the Treadmill

I love running on the treadmill, but let's be honest: it's not the most entertaining workout. I usually distract myself from counting down the minutes with a good playlist, audiobook, or tuning in to the gym's TVs. When I forget to take my running headphones, however, I have to entertain myself in an entirely different way. Here are some ways to keep yourself entertained (not to mention motivated!) when you can't do your normal headphones-on, tune-everything-out routine.

Change up your intervals: You should be doing this anyway once you've mastered your current workout, but if you're used to going through the motions, now's the time to change your intervals or the speed of your high-intensity runs.
Take a fit test: See how fast you can run in a set period - say, five minutes - without stopping (make sure you don't overdo it, though - stay at a level where you don't feel short of breath, lightheaded, or dizzy). Doing a fit test regularly is a good way to gauge your progress if you've been running regularly and if it's time to pick up the pace. Plus you may be surprised by just how fast you can really go!

The Office, "Special Project": Best Lines of The Night

In this week's episode of The Office, Dwight has been chosen to spearhead a three week assignment in Tallahassee. He's putting together "a competent team" that will assist him on the mission, setting up a number of new Sabre locations. Half the episode deals with various relationship issues, and the rest is essentially an audition for the team that will head to Florida. There are some important plot points revealed: Val and Darryl vaguely express their feelings for each other, and Erin tells us she wants to head to Florida for good. While "Special Project" definitely has potential, this week just kind of landed flat for me.
