I recently attended a charity event at the Ted Baker store here in San Francisco. Given that Ted Baker is a purveyor of quirky British design, I wasn't surprised to find that the store itself was chock full of inspiration and original interior design ideas. One of these was a neon-green table with one leg built from a stack of books.

A sunny Sunday and a rockin' antique fair make for one happy salvage queen. Inspired by the musical coffee table I spotted recently, I saw a few skins at a local flea market that caught my attention. While I don't need a coffee table, the size of these green guys had me thinking hmmm .

Diesel's Successful Living home collection, which launched to the trade in Milan last year, is now ready for public viewing, lighting, and sitting in the US! The line includes lamps by Foscarini and furniture by Moroso, including tables, chairs, sofas, casegoods, and even a folding screen, ranging from $350-14,500. In tune with Diesel's edgy aesthetic, the pieces have three distinct themes: Music, Retro, and Discovery.

West Elm is a relatively affordable store, sort of the midpoint between ultra-affordable stores like Ikea and pricier ones like Williams-Sonoma Home and Pottery Barn. It's also full of great modern design, which unless you're shopping at Ikea, is hard to come by at an affordable price. But West Elm items like this Angled-Leg Coffee Table ($299) are still out of reach for many, or simply not sensible if you're a student or in transition.

Last week, I showed you a variety of trays, and told you how useful they can be in helping to organize your life — especially in the entry. Another great organizational piece that I adore also incorporates trays: tray tables. Now, these tables are definitely a distant cousin to the TV tray tables you might remember from your childhood.

Celebrity interior designer Kenneth Bordewick, who's decorated the homes of Paul McCartney, the Jonas Brothers, and Mariah Carey to name a few, has been pegged to design this year's Golden Globe Awards Presenters Lounge. The room will be visited by a few dozen of Hollywood's favorite celebrities Sunday night before they walk onstage to present the award show's iconic golden globe statuettes. So Bordewick's theme, "the glamorous luxury of Hollywood's Golden Age with the glitter of today's top stars," is only fitting.
