I've got a fragrant candle for the Winter season, but my candlestick collection could use a fresh, not-so-stuffy update. When it comes wine glasses, though, I'm good to go — my recycling bin will confirm this. Rose petals are pretty cliché when it comes to Valentine's Day or Honeymoon décor. But unless they're spread all over your mattress, they can be charming. For kitschy V-day dinner décor, you could scatter them around your candlesticks.

I love the rugged, unfinished quality of an exposed brick wall (and I don't mean just around a fireplace). It offers a casual vibe to a room that, as beautiful as they may be, crown moldings and wainscoting just can't give you. An exposed brick wall also makes your accessories (candlesticks, vases) look all the more glamorous in comparison!
