Su Casa member PrettyLittleWorld loves her new home, but she wasn't a fan of her sun porch. She writes, "When we moved into our new home over the summer, we knew the sun porch would have to get some attention so that we could use it. The previous design was just all around unattractive, and made the porch feel a little depressing.

Rocking chairs aren't just for grannies. Even on a cool Autumn night, rocking on the porch is a great way to relax and enjoy the evening. Just add a wool throw and a cup of herbal tea, and you've got a perfect way to enjoy the changing leaves and crisp air.

I love architecture that mimics nature, but nautilus-shaped houses are sometimes a bit too wacky for my tastes. Instead, I like the subtle reference. Take this porch railing, for example.

Browsing through Swedish shelter magazine Sköna Hem, I caught myself daydreaming about dozing off to a scandalous Philippa Gregory novel in this sun-drenched indoor porch. Everything about the space facilitates a three o'clock siesta. The double doors close off the outside world.

When I used to live in Austin, I had a gorgeous wraparound porch on my house. There was a painted green porch swing, a few antique lawn chairs, and a wicker chest full of games. It was definitely the best space to hang out with friends.

If you're trying to add some country charm to your home's Summer Style then this Wagon Wheel Glider ($998, on sale for $599) is the perfect piece of furniture for the job. Made from antique wagon wheel rims and reclaimed teak barwood, the entire swing is made from reclaimed materials, which have all been treated to withstand the elements. While it might not be a favorite with the modernists out there, this glider would look amazing on a ranch porch, or on a vineyard patio.

The beautiful Spring weather recently here in San Francisco has had me aching to be outdoors all day long. Be it unwinding with a glass (or two) of wine on my back porch, working in my garden, socializing on a friend's city rooftop, or playing with my dog in the backyard, when the sun is shining, I can't bear to be indoors. I know that not everyone has the pleasure of having rooftop or balcony access, but even enjoying a small patch of grass in your front yard is better than sitting inside on a beautiful day!
