This Just In: Pete Sampras Scores $23 Million-Love

Back in January, I told you about how tennis star Pete Sampras had served his home to the market. Well, according to Big Time, a mere five months later, Sampras and actress wife Bridgette Wilson-Sampras have sold that five-bedroom, walled and gated mock Tudor mansion in Beverly Hills for a mere $23 million. Cha-ching! Sampras is also said to own a house at Palos Verdes Estates, California which he purchased in mid-2000 for $785,000, but no word yet on where he'll be calling home next. It baffles me that a sane individual would spend $23 million on a house that sits on only 1.04 acres: talk about lack of privacy! But, the property does boast "12 baths, exquisite detailed finishes throughout, a professional theater, an office/library, maid's quarters, a master suite with sitting room, his and hers baths, and a sun deck, in addition to magnificently landscaped grounds, a north/south tennis court, a putting green, play areas, and a pool." I suppose if you're feeling like you need some privacy, you can always retreat to one of the 12 bathrooms, right?

This Just In: Pete Sampras Serves His Home to the Market

According to Big Time, tennis star Pete Sampras and his actress wife Bridgette Wilson-Sampras have put their 10,376-square-foot Beverly Hills mansion on the market for $25 million. They purchased the home, which is at 825 Loma Vista Drive, in 2001 for $8.3 million, particularly drawn to its quiet tennis court.
Over a year later, they put the house on the market for $8.9 million, describing it as 8,200 square feet, but later took it off. Since then, they have expanded and remodeled the mock Tudor manse, which was originally built in 1933, adding 2,100 square feet to it. It features, 12 baths, exquisite detailed finishes throughout, a professional theater, an office/library, maid's quarters, a master suite with sitting room, his and hers baths, and a sun deck," in addition to "magnificently landscaped grounds, a north/south tennis court, a putting green, play areas, and a pool." There's no word on why Sampras is selling the home, but I wouldn't be surprised if the poor housing market is affecting celebs and tennis stars, too. This Just In: Did Tiger Woods Score By the Sea?

Tiger Woods is the new owner of a $65 million, 13,200-square-foot estate in Southampton, New York, according to the New York Post. Or is he? Radar Online says that the story is a fake, and Big Time Listings is remaining coy on the issue. So did he or didn't he? I'll let you know as soon as I get a solid answer. But in the meanwhile, let's take a look at the property in question.

The maybe-it's-Tiger's home is located on six acres, and includes both a six-bedroom mansion and a guest house that's a little over half the size of the main house, measuring in at 7,500 square feet. Both houses have views of the Atlantic and access to the beach. The mansion itself, which is called "By the Sea," also has a pool and spa, manicured gardens, a pond, and a tennis court. A tennis court? This isn't Pete Sampras's home. Where's the golf course - or at least indoor course for winter? Maybe it's in the works. Golf course or no, at least we can rest easy in the fact that if this is Tiger's pad, he and his wife Elin can present any fashion quandaries to neighbor Vera Wang.
