The Box, the new thriller from Donnie Darko director Richard Kelly, tells the story of a financially troubled married couple who receive a box containing a button. The next morning, a creepy mysterious stranger tells them that they will receive $1 million if they push the button, but someone in the world will die. The movie, which is based on a short story by Richard Matheson, is set in Richmond, VA, in the year 1976, so there's plenty of fun, funky styling to the set. I'm really excited to check out Whip It!, the Drew Barrymore directorial debut about roller-derby girls, which opens today. This scene, with lead actress Ellen Page, caught my eye, thanks to the retro music collection on display. While I definitely have vinyl records at my home, our electronics are a bit more updated, and we've tossed the cassettes. Still, I love the overall effect of the two characters being surrounded by so much music. What's the music sitch look like at your home?

New York, I Love You, which is one of BuzzSugar's Fall Romantic Movie Picks, looks atmospheric and lovely, and boasts a great cast, including Ethan Hawke, Scarlett Johansson, Shia LaBeouf, and Orlando Bloom. In this scene, Emilie Ohana peers out of her open window. I used to love to sit in my windowsill like this, when I lived in a walk-up apartment. It really made me feel part of my city. Do you?

Inspired: Where the Wild Things Are

Home is where the wild things are - just ask Urban Outfitters, which recently debuted a line of home accessories based on the movie coming out Oct. 16. I've found even more inspiration looking through the stills from director Spike Jonze's interpretation of the classic children's book. You'd be surprised how often the motifs of Max and his monster pals show up in decor. Take a walk on the wild side.

Nice and New: The Wild Things Invade Urban Outfitters

These wild things make my heart sing. In anticipation of the upcoming big screen adaptation of Where the Wild Things Are, retailer Urban Outfitters has unleashed a relatively tame new collection inspired by the classic children's book.

Like the Spike Jonze-directed flick, these designs take into account the style of the original illustrations while adding a hip, modern twist. I love how most of them don't scream movie memorabilia but could still be cutely comforting for fans of the book. Check out the line below and let me know what you think.

Over-the-Top Decorating Ideas From But I'm a Cheerleader

My sister and I recently caught But I'm a Cheerleader on HBO the other night, and my jaw dropped at the awesome, over-the-top set design of the film. It's been years since I've seen the 1999 satirical romantic comedy, whose plot follows the "re-education" of a group of gay teenagers at a therapy camp meant to make the teens heterosexual (spoiler alert: it doesn't work). Fittingly for a movie that borrows a John Waters-esque vibe, the set design embraces a vivid, surreal look, including lots of pink, pink, pink for the girls.
