Olympic golden boy
Michael Phelps has just acquired a crave worthy pad, paying $1.69 million for a 4,080-square-foot condo overlooking Baltimore's revitalized Harborfront,
according to the Maryland Leader. The pad features amenities sure to win over any young Olympian, such as a rooftop terrace with fireplace, a private screening room, a state-of-the-art gym, a clubhouse with pool tables, and a Jacuzzi. He also recently purchased the Meadowbrook Swim Club and Northwest Ice Rink in Baltimore, which he and his coach plan to turn into an elite Olympic training center, and on the car front, he has been looking at "some Aston Martins and some Maseratis."

WOW good for him! I just hope that all this money doesn't go to his head!!! He seems like a nice well rounded respectful young man!
1Let him keep his mom proud!
Great for him! Well deserved.
2I'd like to roll my eyes at the Maseratis and Aston Martin's... but he's still just a young guy... and that's the kind of thing they go for. Good for him. The house is beautiful.
3Oh new money indeed, but he's def earned it! Hope his training center aspirations work out like Michelle Kwan's.
4BRAVO Michael! Great buy, way to stay true to your roots and stay in Bmore! I love it! Well deserved is RIGHT!
5WOW on the home! I hope he has a financial advisor because he's going to need one!
6I admit I'm a Baltimore hater after living there for school, but Fell's Point is a cool neighborhood and it is great he is sticking to his roots in his hometown...
7His place is really, really nice. The home theater is amazing.

9Nice place!!! He definitely deserves it. Hope he keeps his very grounded attitude!!!
10Looks like a nice place, and he should definitely go with an Aston instead of a Maserati. It's cool how he is also giving back, by renovating those places and turning them into a training center. I mean, I'm sure he'll make plenty of dough off of the project as well, but it's nice to give back too.
