What do you do when your terrace backs up to Manhattan's most popular public space? Well, if you're a person with a normal desire for privacy, you build a fence, or at the very least plant some tall bushes. Marianne Boesky is the owner of a self-titled gallery in downtown New York, she's a new wife and mother, and she lives in a dare-I-say "sick" apartment over her internationally acclaimed shop. The Marianne Boesky Gallery supports the work of contemporary international artists of all media, including Sarah Sze, Takashi Murakami, and Yoshitomo Nara—in other words, no fox hunting landscapes in sight.
Her husband, Liam Culman, an equity sales trader, who previously lived in a minimalist loft by Richard Gluckman, wanted to go for a traditional aesthetic this time.
