If you're a design enthusiast and a New Orleans fanatic like me, you know Bryan Batt as a co-owner (with his partner Tom Cianfichi) of one of NOLA's finest décor boutiques, Hazelnut. I featured the boutique back in February of '08, and now Batt is set to ink his own home décor book. If you're just mad for Mad Men, you know him as Sterling-Cooper's in-the-closet, recently fired art director Salvatore Romano.

While I didn't think it was possible, this season of Mad Men is proving to be even better than the last two. Of course, the fabulous decor is always a plus. See some of my favorite finds from the first six episodes of season three, and find out how you can get the look in your own casa.

January Jones's character in Mad Men may live in a picture-perfect house, but in real life, the actress doesn't mind a little work. January just snatched up a fixer-upper in LA's Los Feliz neighborhood for just over $1 million. The 2,200-square-foot, 3-bedroom, 2.5-bath 1920s Mediterranean villa is definitely dated, and a far cry from some of the slickly renovated homes of her contemporaries.

On last night's episode of Mad Men, Don met with Connie, who he met at Roger and Jane's country club party. The two men chatted about an advertising campaign for Connie's chain of hotels. Can you tell me what hotel it is?

Every entertaining household should have a stocked bar with an ice bucket, glassware, cocktail shakers, mixers, and a few choices of poison. I recommend keeping these bar essentials out in the open on a console table of sorts, so guests feel they can serve themselves. Sometimes a closet or cabinet is the only option, though.

While I'm fairly certain that anything Mad Men's Joan Holloway (Christina Hendricks) reclines against will look gorgeous, this pillow is an instant eye-catcher even without the redhead's influence. The tassels are the secondary scene stealer here.
Tassels, which can be found everywhere from curtains to pillows, are both a pretty and functional decoration.

I am bursting with excitement about this weekend's Mad Men season premiere, so what better way to express it than with a slideshow extolling the wonders of that show's fabulous styling? While I love the show's set design, I am also a sucker for its beautiful ladies' gorgeous garb. See my ideas for creating some Mad Men-inspired style in your home.

Blame it on the retro costuming of Mad Men, but I'm seeing checkered patterns everywhere these days. Checks look great on copywriter Peggy Olson, and I have a feeling they'd look fab in your home as well.
Want to add some retro flair to your home with traditional checked patterns?

Last night, at the Los Angeles premiere of AMC's Mad Men Season 3, January Jones was looking nothing like the '60s housewife she plays on the show. In a silky, midnight-blue dress with geometric cut-outs, January looked stunning, and very of the moment.
I couldn't help but notice that the Etelle Display Lamp ($525) has the same bold lines and triangular shape as the bodice on January's dress.

I've been drooling over the stylish sets and fashion featured in BuzzSugar's Mad Men Season Three, In All Its Finery post. This photo, from Buzz's post, features a new piece of artwork in the office (on the far right of this photo). While I doubt it's actually an original, which famous artist is this painting paying tribute to?
