I haven't seen an interesting pair of bookends in ages. In fact, I've never written about them here. Now is the time.

I love the carved maple frame and nailhead trim on this Carved Frame Sofa ($5,999), but its leather upholstery kind of turns me off. What's your take?

You were understandably enthusiastic about the aptly named Lady Chair. However, I have a hard time imagining those of you who cohabitate with a manly man getting even the smallest, riveted corner of the Lady Chair in your door. If that's the case, then I present you with a testosterone-friendly option: the Cotswald Chair ($1,998) from Anthropologie.

There are some leather couches that are simply stunning and there are others that should stay in the frat house. I once lived in a house right out of college that had two separate leather couches (which were owned by two rather frat-like dudes). Those were definitely not crave worthy, and I have a feeling that some of you ladies have had to live with men who refused to give up their "cool" leather couches.

Growing up, a few of my parents' British ex-pat friends had leather animal footstools in their living rooms, so I have a nostalgic attachment to this Leather Rhinoceros (inquire for price). The Gomitolo Clock ($575), designed by Carlo and Benedetta Tamborini, is a clock with a soft ecru knit cotton cover that can be removed for washing. While it is clever, fresh, and unexpected — and pretty! — I couldn't bring myself to spend over $100 on it, let alone nearly $600.

For those of you hoping to get the look of a modern rustic kitchen, the Hudson English Reading Chair ($2,850) couldn't be more appropriate. The vintage leather chair from England with a blue and brown plaid wool cushion and nailhead trim is a perfect stand-in for the handsomely worn leather chair tossed with a velvet pillow in that kitchen. But the Hudson chair is also a Pandora's box of sorts: its arms open to expose a pen tray on one side and a writing table on the other!

This set of four, brass-studded, Leather Bound Trunks ($15,000) likely once served as travel storage for a sophisticated lady on a worldly voyage like Angelina Jolie in Changeling. But, as these How Would Yous tend to go, I'm not interested in offering up suitcases to you. I want to know how you'd use these elegant antique suitcases in your home as décor.
