I've written in the past about Iomoi stationery and how I think it's important to have cute personalized stationery for those occasions when you need to write a hand-written note. But, there's no reason you shouldn't write on smart-looking paper when you're jotting notes to yourself! Iomoi has released a new memo pad ($48) in a variety of stylish patterns, 250 five-by-seven-inch pages set in a custom-designed Lucite tray. Enjoy the cute pattern of your choice (monkey, pagoda, anchor, coral, etc.) during your daily list-making 70 percent of the year, and then use the Lucite tray as a catch-all when you've torn the last sheet! Or, if you're anything like me, you'll let the note pad sit there unfinished for years, as you collect lots of other cute stationery to clutter up your desk.

While emails may be quick, and gag cards funny, I can't stress enough how important it is to have a set of personalized notecards on hand. Of course, some occasions call for a bit of snark, or a swift reply, but when writing a thank-you note or dropping someone a line, setting a more formal tone is key. I just stumbled across this porcelain Jonathan Adler Chain Frame ($125) and was reminded of how much I cherish the equestrian-chic look of a classic chain link. As much as I love the frame (white porcelain, yum), I don't know if I'd throw down over 100 smackers for it, unless perhaps it displayed a photo of me and say . . . Matthew Fox, sigh. So, I decided I'd seek out some other chain link patterns and motifs and see what comes up. The winner, I think, is Iomoi's Bamboo Chain Link Pattern Lucite Tray ($100), but there's still more goodies that may chain-ge my mind.
