I'm normally of the persuasion that Todd Oldham can do no wrong. But today? Not so much.

I'm far from an Adam Sandler groupie, but there are a few of his movie scenes that always get me. One of these is in Mr. Deeds, when his character tries to sell an ice cream glove to investors — such a dumb idea but I still kind of understand the need for one. Since the fictional product was never produced, we'll have to make do by wiping down our sticky fingers with the MrPS Ice Cream Lollies Tea Towel ($16).

Although most of the time I feel like my life revolves around home decorating, part of me wishes I wouldn't take it so seriously. I'm thinking that the Fred Flare Ice Cream Lamp ($48) might lighten things up, making a visit to my home more like a casual, Summer stroll to an ice cream parlor — relaxed and sugary sweet. Granted, the lamp shrieks teeny-bop bedroom like a Jonas Brothers fan at a live performance, but it's good for a laugh.

Over the holidays, some of my friends housesat for us for a few days. When I have someone stay at my house, I try to make it as tidy and welcoming as possible, and one of my go-to tasks is tidying and cleaning the flatware drawer. It's rather disconcerting, in my opinion, to open a drawer, looking for a spoon for your ice cream, and find yourself staring at a messy and crumb-filled flatware drawer.

My all-time favorite ice cream shop, Ici, announces their rotating handmade flavors on cute framed signs. While I love everything about the signs, from the font to the bold, black frames, my absolute favorite part of these ice cream signs is the pretty red ribbon with which they're hung.
If you have crown molding in your house, you also probably have a line of molding below it, which is known as a picture rail or picture molding.

I recently polled you on your love for Todd Oldham's ice cream cone carnation floral arrangement, and you were pretty split on it. I on the other hand was not a fan; although in general, I feel that the world-renowned designer can do no wrong. Today is no exception to that notion, though.

I've urged you to switch over to CFLs enough, so I'm not gonna go there. But I will admit that I agree the soft-serve-like shape of CFL bulbs is less than desirable — unless you have an ice cream cone pendant light to go with. But, what if CFLs looked like the standard bulbs you've come to know and love?

Imported from Paris, this 1950s Glaces Cart ($3,800) is a fun and unusual find. Whether you have a thing for ice cream street vendors or just crave unusual element in your home or garden, this cart will fit the bill.
So, for this latest How Would You post, I'd like you to think outside the home-decorating box and find some creative ways to repurpose this admittedly unusual object.

For this past What You're Wanting, I asked you to redecorate Ryan Phillippe's pool, which I thought could use some accessorizing.
One look that really caught my eye was put together by HippieCowGirl, who wrote, "I think the pool area is the perfect space for a really eclectic look. It's like a flea market with finds from all over the world."
