Open House: How Are You Celebrating Halloween?

Whether you've been planning your costume or party for months, or are stuck for last-minute ideas, you should definitely get out there and celebrate tonight! At my house, we'll be waiting on trick-or-treaters (or trying to) and then heading to a friend's party in San Francisco for the evening. I still haven't decided on a costume, but I'm sure I can whip something up at the last minute.

Event planner Peacock Feathers created this very over-the-top dinner table décor for a Halloween party. Not only does the pink and purple palette strike me as unusual, but it also seems uncommon to host a formal dinner party for Halloween. I do think any occasion to host a party is a good one, but I've never been to a Halloween dinner party. Have you?

Strolling through downtown San Francisco, I came across this window display of a men's clothing store. To decorate for Halloween, the shop has covered the faces of their mannequins with googly eyes. I can't decide if I find these decorations spooky or just weird. Do you think they're festive? Do you like the concept?
