Coveted Crib: Pink Simplicity in Tribeca

In this 700-square-foot Tribeca loft designed by Ghislaine Viñas, precision and simplicity rule the roost, along with one particular: pink. The owner, a life-long pink enthusiast, wanted to give her family home some personality with her beloved bright pink and magenta hues. So the focus of the living room is this bright '70s-style corner sectional, and white and light oak give the space lightness and a neutral background to tame the vibrancy of the furnishings. The kitchen boasts a fuschia backsplash and counter stools, which make the industrial concrete countertops and steel elements seem more playful. When you move into the bedrooms, bathrooms, and children's playroom, the color palette changes, with neutral background tones still dominating but blues and greens introduced as focal points. Coveted Crib: A Paper-Perfect Studio Loft

If I had my druthers, I probably wouldn't choose to live in a studio. But if I had to, I cannot imagine a more perfect space than this studio loft in Lägenhet, Stockholm (which is for sale). With tall ceilings, a bed and extra storage are tucked up high, making for a true living room. The apartment's bright white walls and beautiful natural light expand the space, while a select few gorgeously wallpapered walls give it depth and serious style. The kitchen has streamlined modern white cabinetry and one of my favorite elements: concrete countertops. The bathroom is complete with a towel warmer (woot!), a washer/dryer, and a sharp zebrawood sink basin. And better yet, it boasts what every girl dreams of: a walk-in closet. Coveted Crib: Kate Walsh's Lovely LA Home

Kate Walsh's 1920s Spanish-style Los Angeles home is featured in this month's issue of InStyle, and I'm blown away by how glamorously laid-back it is. While elements like a Steinway grand piano, lush fur throws, and a 1960s Lucite console offer that prim Old Hollywood look you see in many celebrity homes, there is something really layered and livable about it that I found unusual. Turns out, Walsh eschewed her usual interior designer route and hired the set decorator of Private Practice, Melissa Levander, to put the space together. Come take the tour!

Coveted Crib: Twilight's Cullen Family House

If you've ever wondered what it would be like to live like a vampire, let me tell you: it can be pretty sweet. That is, if you're a member of Twilight's Cullen Family. The 100-plus-year-old vampires don't live in a decaying lair, but a stunning contemporary house that would incite jealousy in any mere mortal. I actually showed you this house back in February, when I featured the 4,300-square-foot home's architect. The home was designed by Portland, OR-based Skylab Architecture - a name that very well suits the towering structure. Architect Jeff Kovel originally built the home as a spec house, but to no surprise, it sold after only two days on the market to Director of Footwear Design at Nike, John Hoke. If you caught the romantic fantasy, you'll remember that the interior is just as phenomenal as the exterior. I personally swooned more over Edward Cullen's "bedroom" than over brooding Robert Pattinson himself. But just to jog your memory, check out photos when you read more.

Coveted Crib: Slaughterhouse Fine

A former slaughterhouse in Ulricehamn, Sweden, was transformed into this fabulous coveted crib. Outfitted with furniture and accessories from around the world, the space feels much more metropolitan than you'd expect from a rural Swedish home. An extensive collection of artwork is mixed with both vintage and modern furniture. Antique Corinthian columns mingle with an Arne Jacobsen Swan chair, worn wood surfaces with plush velvet, and IKEA with Philippe Starck, creating endless serendipitous juxtapositions. Coveted Crib: Skylit and Vibrant in London

If I see a skylight, I'm sold. But this London home has a skylight that runs the length of its roof, in addition to full glass siding on its rear entrance, so my bags are packed. The rear doors open to a gorgeous modern patio, with neon seating, a fountain with a bridge, and a mysterious shed. Inside, the house is equally stylish, with bold, vibrant, accent walls ruling the rooms, and sharp but not statement-making furniture throughout. It's a truly a lesson in the power of color. Coveted Crib: Abbijane Schifrin's Technicolor Townhouse

The Gramercy Park townhouse of the late fashion designer Abbijane Schifrin is on the market for $8.75 million, and it's truly a dream. The five-story 1855 building sits on a delightful, tree-lined street and looks quite prim from the exterior, with a pair of 21 Club-esque jockeys and a cast-iron gate. But inside the house is dressed with glitzy gilt walls, bright turquoise and pink paint, and Mediterranean-style arts and crafts tilework - a drastic deviation from what passersby see. Coveted Crib: Light and Visual in San Francisco

I was lucky enough to meet San Francisco-based interior designer Jiun Ho at the Metropolitan Home Modern by Design Showhouse in June. The dining room he created for the space was the most elegant room in the house by far; it could make even delivery pizza seem gourmet. So, it's no surprise that his residential client projects are equally impressive.

I came across a condo design he did for an international businessman who is an avid art collector and was blown away. Some designers make every room all about them - their signature style, their go-to fabrics, their furniture designs (ahem, Jonathan Adler). But Ho created a perfect background for all of the masterpieces on display using light colors, simple shapes, and modest proportions. Coveted Crib: Alys Beach Homes

I just came across Alys Beach, a community of resort homes on the Florida Panhandle, and I am completely infatuated with the place. With beautiful white stucco walls and white-ridged roofs, it's a cross between English and Spanish architecture with classic, old-world charm.

It's also outfitted with every modern convenience, and each home is built using green construction techniques. Many homes have gracious, private, and storm-resistant courtyards such as this one, but the community also has spacious central courtyards for getting to know neighbors. And with gorgeous ocean views, rooftop terraces are another luxury. As for the interiors, they're as magnificent as the exteriors with tall, vaulted ceilings, expansive windows, rich wooden ceiling beams, and a minimal, antique industrial aesthetic.
