Chartreuse is one of those colors that people have a hard time feeling neutral about. This Chartreuse Tufted Headboard ($1,709) is built on a maple frame that's been covered in tufted, chartreuse suede. Part of me loves it, but I doubt that I could handle the color — or decorating around the color — for very long.

On Monday, Kate Hudson arrived at the grand re-opening of the Burberry Beverly Hills store looking as gorgeous as ever. But we all know Kate looks fab even when she's not all dolled up for an A-List event. What struck me about this photo wasn't Hudson's attire — the boxy Burberry dress isn't the most flattering — but the palette is awe-inspiring.

With St. Patrick's Day approaching, I've got green on the brain. While the hue is omnipresent in every garden or vase, it's a curious occasion when a flower's petals match its foliage.

Punxsutawney Phil may have given us a few more weeks of Winter, but Designers Guild just debuted its Spring 2010 collection, so now the season is really here! The collection features exquisitely drawn florals along strong geometrics with an architectural influence. As always, the palette is fresh and feminine — lots of chartreuse, citrus, duck egg, pistachio, and pink peony, plus neutrals with energizing shots of vibrant hues.

As part of a fun holiday series, I've asked interior design "tastemakers," from designers and stylists to bloggers and shop-owners, to share their favorite go-to holiday gift ideas with me.
New York-based interior designer (and color enthusiast!) Ghislaine Viñas shared her go-to gift ideas for the holidays with me:
On gift-giving:
Year-round I come across things that absolutely delight me, and by the holidays I have usually forgotten what they are. Luckily I photograph everything and so it's easy for me to go back and see what things I have put a smile on my face.

Flipping through photos from Christian Dior's 2010 Fall Couture show, I noticed a theme of bright, juicy hues. As FabSugar noted, innerwear (corsets, garters, etc.) also played a major role, but considering how unpopular this corset-inspired chandelier was, I don't see lingerie motifs succeeding in the interior design world. These tangerine, pop pink, and chartreuse colors, on the other hand, would be a fun addition to any home — modern or traditional. The citrus-colored seat on this Colorful French Accent Chair ($349) from Wisteria, for instance, pops against its carved oak frame, jazzing up what I imagine is a conservative room.

I may have been mystified by the synchronized swimmers during the 2008 Olympics, but they're not the only proof of value in symmetry. By using symmetry as a starting-off point for decorating your interiors, you can create a strong visual theme that looks polished, but not necessarily stiff. To get this look, you should start by centering your sofa on one wall, preferably in front of a window.

I would never call Signals a go-to retailer for home décor products, but every once in a while they sweep me off my feet with a great steal. This time, it's Signals Three Rose Vases ($32, reduced from $59), three vases adorned with rose blooms in cream, chartreuse, and mint. Not only is a set of three vases for 30 bucks an incredible deal, but the vases share a remarkable similarity with the Roost Porcelain Flower Vase ($68-$96), a design I've been fawning over for some time.

In the process of putting some pizzazz in her backyard, one woman found this old, iron demilune patio table peeling with black and white paint that had clearly seen better days. A little elbow work, sanding, priming, and painting transformed it into a pretty, pink patio table. To see the magnificent results, and which lovely gal is this table's proud owner, read more
