I spotted this delicious Crocheted Throw ($98) at FCL Style in one of my favorite colors, Wasabi, and I couldn't help but think of all the Summer nights I've spent shivering on a porch or deck somewhere. You know those nights: the sun goes down and suddenly you find yourself with goosebumps and half a cold cheeseburger left on your plate, and all you need is a cozy, colorful throw to keep you listening to the crickets for hours. I bet many of you have been in the same situation, so I figured I'd round up some equally yummy Summer throws for you.

I have a tendency to want to hibernate a little when Winter rolls around, so out come the blankets and the comfy throw pillows. I love spending a snowy day curled up under a blanket with a mug of tea and a good DVD.
I'm sure I'm not the only one who indulges in some wintertime hibernating, so if you have someone in your life who's known for cozying up on the couch, give them what they want: more ways to get cozy!

Now that the temperatures have dipped, I've added a few lap blankets and afghans to the living room. They sit in a pretty crate next to the sofa, and are the first thing I reach for when I crack open a book or watch a DVD. Do you snuggle up with blankets on the sofa, too?

Feeling chilly? Then try the Slanket ($44.95), an oversize fleece blanket with sleeves! It might be one of the most ridiculously nerdy things I've ever seen, but at the same time it's actually pretty functional.

Some of you may boycott this blanket on principle, but can you guess what it's made from?

New York-based artist Chrissy Conant's work is about her dealings with her ultimate fears and insecurities. With her Chrissy Homeland Security Blanket ($850), she "confronts her fear of terrorism by designing a blanket to protect herself against all levels of threat." This limited edition blanket is made of 100 percent virgin wool and was woven by Pendleton Woolen Mills, who was also commissioned for the Ace Hotel's elk blankets.

This La Tete Au Cube Buddy Throw ($139) would be a wonderful thing to have next time I'm home sick on the couch. The 85 percent wool blanket delivers a double-dose of cuddliness. You can cover up with it when you're cold or let it "embrace" you while it's tossed over the back of the sofa.
